Bought this for my mom. She says it works great but has a problem with one step down to her living area. So consider your home layout before buying.

It took about five business days to receive in MN. It came very well packaged. Assembly was a little strange with no written worded directions, only pictures with little arrows. There's no labeling of the attachments, so you have to guess what some are for, but I love the hanging case it came with to put the attachments in. Performance is unlike any I've seen before and it's AWESOME to maneuver! I've been pushing around a hundred forty-seven pound Kirby for the past eight years (give or take a few thousand pounds), so the Dyson feels like a feather! Dyson is light-years ahead of the Kirby on ease of use, on-board wand, easy change of attachments, etc. etc. I love it SO much!!

Since our old 90's Bissell put out the ghost, I was in search of a new vacuum to take it's place. It was toss up between a Shark and this Dyson. I read the reviews of each and chose the Dyson. What turned me off about the Shark was after a few months of use, something would break and/or the motor would seize up. What I loved about the Dyson is the two permanent HEPA filters, the on/off switch for the carpet brush, and it's bag less. It's an effortless vacuum. Everything clicks shut and push button opens. Also with the refurbished price, a coupon for joining Overstock's e-mail list, and free shipping, it was the same price as a Shark. After having the Dyson for a month now, I thoroughly enjoy it! Compared to our old vacuum, it's quieter, it lighter, and it turns very like a dream. Again, it's all relative to vacuum you had previously. We do have mostly all hardwood and tile flooring with only carpet in the master bedroom and the stairs. We also have two very furry kitties and one fuzz...
