I recently purchased the Dyson DC 40 vacuum and are really pleased with the overall value of the product, being that it is refurbished it looked brand new, no scratches marks or anything to show it is not brand new, the suction is excellent and no matter how clean you think your carpet is there is always something in the canister after you vacuum. I would totally recommend this to a friend it is worth the money and you can't tell it isn't brand new!

If its possible to fall in love with a Vacuum Cleaner then It must be love . I have always had a thing for Vacuum cleaners and even sold the Rainbow Mud making Vacuum cleaner door to door in my youth. My collection over the years has made the range from Canisters to Uprights and all BRANDS but once I found DYSON my machines have become a true love affair. I purchased my 1st Dyson upright ( DC07) several years ago and of late because of small plastic parts wearing out I elected to look for another. Having two small dogs under foot and dragging dirt inside from the great outdoors I wanted something light weight and powerful so I turned to the Dyson DC25 Animal Vacuum . This smaller machine pulls the dirt directly out of the pad below the carpet and enables me to turn the brush off with the touch of a button to move right into the Kitchen , baths and laundry area with ease . Its cord could have been another 5 - 10 feet longer but have a small clip on the end of the cord allow quick storage after winding the cord back up on the machine. The Animal Vacuum seems to really pick up MORE than my regular Dyson. I love it.

Rainbow vacuum cleaners are second to none. We purchased one of the original models back in 1991 and it still works fine with virtually no problems over the last 23 years. My wife just wanted a newer version so that's why we went with this model. Overall, the vacuum has been great. It is refurbished and has some signs of wear and tear, but overall the vacuum is in very good condition and works just fine. Recommend this refurbished product - much cheaper than purchasing a new Rainbow vacuum. Hopefully we will get another 20+ years of service from this vacuum as well...

We had moved to a house from one with central vac, so I wanted a quality vacuum cleaner and, having asked numerous people, bought this one. I cannot stand the design in any way, shape or form. The ball prevents me from being able to vacuum under furniture and the hose is so stiff that it is warfare to try to get it in nooks and crannies and under the furniture the cleaner won't get under. I actually asked for a cheap vacuum with a pliable hose for Christmas and love that one for everything (most of my house) except carpet. The Dyson WILL be leaving!

I was very impressed with the performance of the dc39 beyond my imagination. I had my doubts because I've never owned a Dyson product but now I would recommend this vacuum cleaner to almost anyone.

After much research I knew I wanted a Dyson vacuum cleaner. Since I have 2 children, 1 dog and 4 cats, the "Animal" was my obvious choice, but the price seemed prohibitive. I was unsure whether a refurbished vacuum would live up to the mess, but I'm happy to say that it more than does. If it wasn't for the unmarked box, you would never know it's not a new vacuum. It looked, felt, and certainly performed better than I could have imagined! I could absolutely recommend this vacuum cleaner to my friends.

I ablsolutely love this vacuum cleaner. I have four kids and we live on a farm so my floor can get really dirty. This vacuum cleaner is true to its word and does not lose its suction. I have had it for several months now, and it still works like new, and I actually don't dread vacuuming. I have been a little disgusted at all that it actually has sucked up, but glad to have it out of my carpet. It is also extremely light and easy to maneuver, which is great when you are working around kids toys, and its not very loud like my old one. My only complaint is that I can't keep the flap that is over the hose to stay down which will cause the hose to pop up everyonce in a while, but b/c this vacuum cleaner works a millioin times better than any I have ever used before I still have to give it 5 stars. If you want a great vacuum cleaner this is what you need. Oh, and it even does great on my kitchen floor. Don't be afraid to buy it refurbished. You'll get a great product for a cheaper price, which is always the way to go.

The Panasonic Burgundy MC Canister vacuum cleaner has a more-than-adequate amount of power. The tools are handily tucked away in the top of the canister. On top of that, such a beautiful piece of cleaning equipment. I thoroughly enjoy using this machine..

This is our second Dyson and it is a little lighter than our DC 14 but performs every bit as well, cleaning better than any other brand of sweeper that we have ever used. We are sold on Dysons.

Attention all potential buyser. This is my second refurbished dyson purchased on overstock. One a gift, and one for myself. Half of retail and just like new!!! This model offers ease of cleaning tight spaces and baseboards. I had a heavy upright Dyson that lasted 13 years and wanted to get something more portable. This is perfect for my needs. It has amazing suction power and is lightweight. Easy to clean. My only complaint is that the hose is rigid and awkward to stow away.

I have to say for starters, that I'm SO HAPPY I DID NOT PAY ATTENTION to those negative reviews that said this machine is flimsy and made of cheap plastic. This is a well thought out powerful vacuum cleaner with an incredible design. In fact, it has been included in MOMA's list of prized designs. That aside, and down to the practical, I had no problem putting it together with the image only instructions. Everything clicked together in about 10 minutes, and I was cleaning away! LOVE the ball design. It's very easy to use, and not loose enough to get away from you. Simply, it is easily controlled by the movement of your wrist. I'm getting into places my other vacuum never reached! The vacuum itself has a good solid feel to it, and is not so light as to feel cheap. It's smaller that my old bulky XXXXXXX, and much more maneuverable!! OH, AND CAN IT PICK UP DIRT!!! I was expecting it would pick up dog hair better than the Hoover, BUT THE DIRT THAT CAME ALONG WITH THE HAIR WAS SIMPLY AMAZING. Shocking, actually to see how much dirt was in my home. I first vacuumed my kitchen Indian carpet. The colors came back to it after the Dyson lifted the white film of dirt that the Hoover could not touch! Best part, it did not SUCK UP THE CARPET when cleaning! Then I did my hardwood floors. Like magic, the dirt imbedded in the grooves came out too! Last, but absolutely not least, the Dyson I purchased is a refurbished one from Overstock that cost significantly LESS than a new one! It is important for potential buyers to know, that these refurbished Dysons are reconditioned BY DYSON at their plant. They are packaged like brand new, right down to the sealed accessories and instructions, and they are CLEAN! Dyson even offers to replace the canister if yours looks hazy. Not a big deal for me. Bottom line, I would NOT HESITATE to buy one, just because it's refurbished. Mine looks and obviously, works like new. It is still covered by Dyson's 5 year warranty, but if it makes you feel better, $20 will by you the extended 2 year Overstock Warranty too! For me, this purchase has TOTALLY changed my attitude towards vacuuming from a dreaded chore to FUN!! Can't wait to tackle my stairs with the extension wand!!!

My wife put it together in about 3 minutes. I read most of the reviews and many had problems with directions. It was simple. The Dyson works great so far. This is our second Dyson. The other one is still working great.

I had a dyson for 7 years & tried to replace it with an Electolux since it was cheaper... Bad idea. I was wishing I bought a dyson and didn't waste the $$$. This refurbished model did have a defect with the canister releasing when it arrived, but I called Dyson and they replaced the parts in no time. Their customer service is excellent and while the refurbished models only have a 6 month warranty instead of the 5 year of the new ones, this was about 1/2 the price & if the quality is anything like my last one, I expect it to last for a long time. Small, light & easy to use. So far so good.

Buying refurbished is always the way to be smart about saving money, while still affording a higher end product such as a Dyson Vacuum. Well, okay, so I didn't get the fancy "Dyson Labelled" box that would have come with it. Big deal. Came very neatly and securely packaged. It had the instruction manual and a few additional attachment pieces. All is well in the wild world of keeping my house clean and vacuumed. I bought this to replace a heavily used dyson of approximately 8 years. Sadly, it was time for that to go away due to a divorce, but since I loved it so much, I went with this model as its replacement. It's awesome.

I have owned dysons since their inception, practically. This model does nothing less than disappoint. The plastic components are not typical of Dyson. The plastic is thin and cheap. The auction also isn't that of earlier models. When I use the extension hose, it feel the throat of the extender could bend or snap. The canister is also smaller than what I'm used to. It's a decent vacuum, but it's junk for a Dyson. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY.

Love the DysonDC40, I have never had a vacuum that sucked so hard. I was amazed at how much it pulled from the carpet.

My old vacuum finally gave out so i went to purchase a new one. My husband was trying to get me to get a ***** but I seen this one and thought it worked great in the store. After a few uses, it did not suck up like it did when i first used it. I emptied the canister after each use. I finally got a stick and had to unclog it. Ive bought cheaper vacuums in the past and never have had to unclog a vacuum cleaner. I was very disappointed in the quality of this product considering the price it cost. Im just going to leave this one by the road and get me a ***** as I should have done in the first place.
