If you are vacuuming with anything else, you are not vacuuming. This is the BEST on the market - traps all the dirt in water instead of spreading it around in the air. When you clean with this machine you are "spring cleaning". It really gets done. Lasts FOREVER if you take good care of it. After using this, would never even consider another brand.

I have only one rug in my apartment, but it's shag; and the last vacuum I ordered couldn't handle the deep pile. I love Bissell products, and this vacuum is no exception. It handles the shag rug easily, and I can hear the dirt and debris pulling out. My living room rug gets very little traffic, so that tells me it's powerful suction. The canister is super easy to remove, empty, and reinstall. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the brush attachment is shaped rather strangely, and there is no rectangular attachment that I can use on smaller floor areas. You can turn the brush on and off, and the pet hair attachment works great. I have a dog, so I am glad it worked so well. The vacuum was also easy to assemble--took me about 5 minutes. One thing I especially like about it is that it's not so loud that I have to wear ear plugs, something I've had to do with other vacuum cleaners. The attachment wand telescopes--another great feature. For the price, I couldn't beat this quality any where else.

The vacuum is made out of the thinnest plastic - so at least it's lightweight! The suction level is so-so. I guess the old saying fits: "You get what you pay for" and I didn't pay much. If It lasts a year or two, I'll be happy. At least the shipping charges are minimal - the "O" is the only e-tailer that charges this low fee.

I received this as a Christmas present from my Mom. I own a couple of Rainbow vacs, and an Oreck XL21. I thought those did a good job. NOT! This Shark is the most amazing vacuum cleaner I have ever owned!! My first time to use this upstairs, where my dogs are most of the time, I had to empty it TWICE. Unbelievable! There is less dust in my house, and I could not be happier with this vacuum. Yes, it is refurbished, but I have had zero issues with it. Works like a dream!

I gave only four stars, but it is very near five. The add on attachment holder in a nuisance, but it worked like a dream (if you dream about vacuuming with a quite motored, smooth moving/transitioning vacuum cleaner... Lol). I've used it only once so far, waiting for extra bags to arrive, but it was wonderful to have no smell coming out, no fine dust, just clean clean clean, my asthma and allergies are grateful!

This vacuum is GREAT. The way it piviots into every corner and crease is amazing. It also has great suction and the fact that it's bagless is a HUGE plus and easy clean up. It also has the feature of changing between carpet and hardwood floors just by simple vacuuming. No push of a button or changing the head of the vacuum cleaner.

This Dyson vacuum cleaner is quite light and able to fit into small places. It effectively removes dust, dirt, and animal hairs, and its operation is pretty intuitive. The head can get stuck on light or smooth rugs, but there is a pressure release valve at your fingertips that will restore motion to the brushes in the head. The refurbished model is a great value, making the Dyson quite competitive with lesser and cheaper machines.

We have a Border Collie with LOTS of fur! Over the years I have gone through many vacuum cleaners. I normally spend about *** on a cleaner because I know that the life of it will be fairly short with the hair that I am constantly picking up with my dog. I also do not like bagless cleaners because the canister fills up too quickly and I do not like having to SEE what's coming up out of my carpet. I also understand that a BAG vacuum cleaner is healthier with regard to allergens, dander, etc. A little early to tell if this cleaner will last a year or more (I hope longer), but for the price it is great. Very happy with it. The vacuum cleaner was delivered in record time and despite what they say about women not getting excited about something such as a vacuum cleaner, in this case I was ecstatic! It makes my life that much easier and I like that.

I bought the first one a few months ago. It works so well, my parents wanted one, too. They just got theirs and love using it! Hands down, the best vacuum cleaner we've ever had, and the price can't be beat!

I stumbled upon the ProLux brand when looking for a replacement for my 2nd Hoover Canister Vac. I was not familiar with the ProLux brand and was a little skeptical at first. After a ton of reading and inspection, I decided to give it a shot. The reasonable cost, warranty and return policy made this decision easy. After getting everything setup, I was pleasantly surprised at how familiar and solid this model was. While it's a bit loud as some point out, let's not forget, it's a vacuum cleaner. I associate this with suction power, and it doesn't disappoint. We have had this model for a few months and feel like it was a great decision!

I have been using this vacuum for some time. I have a short haired large boxer mix who sheds a lot and a white cat. I use the attachment for my microfiber sofa as well as small hard to reach areas. Also use the vacuum on both area rugs and floors. Excellent product. Has a few nuances regarding switching from the vacuum to attachment option which can be somewhat annoying as it involves balancing and locking the cleaner into an upright position to use the attachments which can be hit or miss at times as the vacuum cleaner is heavy and subsequently will fall if transition is not done properly. Sounds like a vacuum cleaner in terms of noise, definitely not quiet but they never are in my experience. Nothing unusual there. Great not using bags and dirt compartment easily removable. Love this product as my first Dyson and highly recommend. Did not want to pay the full $650+ for new one and simply purchased this with the 5 year protection plan; substantial cost savings. Came perfectly packaged with instructions and minor assembly. Looks like new and can't tell it is refurbished. Works like a charm. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.

I was looking for a small vacuum cleaner to do a quick job around the house. I have a bulking upright vacuum with no attachments that I wanted to replace. This product fit the bill exactly. A little on the loud side but I can live with the noise because I'm just doing a quick vacuum to keep my place tidy. For more in-depth cleaning I use my bulking vacuum. Great suction for such a small machine. Works great in getting into small crevices like corners and stairs. Would definitely recommend this product.

Dyson vacuum cleaners are very expensive brand new. Buying a refurbished one is a great way to save money and get a great vacuum cleaner. I have 3 pets and this works great!

A vacuum cleaners is not something I like to spend much money on, so when I needed a new one, I read the reviews on this refurbished Bissell and thought I would take a chance. I have pets and stairs, and the removable tank and pet attachment were just what I was looking for. Arrived quickly, (as usual from O.co) and assembly was easy. And I am a klutz when it comes to assembly. This vacuum picks up more than any other vacuum I have ever had and it is just the thing for getting the pet hair swept up. Cannister empties very easily, and frankly, as much pet hair as I get up it needs to be emptied often. Cannister is easy to remove to vacuum the stairs and get the cobwebs out of the corners and to do the furniture. The pet hair attachment is great, works like a charm. If you are looking for a reasonably priced vacuum that does everything you want it to do, I recommend the Bissel Lift Off Pet Cyclonic vacuum (recycled) I don't think you will be disappointed.

We got our first Dyson years ago, a DC15. It made other vacuum cleaners look ridiculous when it came to picking up dust and animal hair. It was also very easy to unload and did not consume vacuum bags. The ball that it rides on makes it more maneuverable than ordinary vacuums. We purchased a second one (DC50) for our lower level and it works even better, but is less than half the size and weight. If you ever try a Dyson, nothing else will do.
