    • good, but be careful!

      I've had this model for 1 year now, and it is a solid product but it has two things going against it: 1: it doesn't have a temperature display, so unless you put in a separate thermometer (i put a hand-held in) you have no idea what the temperature is. 2: THE CELLAR'S TEMPERATURE WILL BE AFFECTED BY HOW HOT THE ROOM IS. Our apartment gets very hot in the summer, and I saw the cellar's temp rise to 70 degrees set on high! This is unacceptable if you're housing age-worthy wines. When our apartment is of "normal" temp (around 70) the cellar maintains the desired 55 degrees when set on high. Don't expect the model to maintain a constant temp if the room fluctuates greatly!

    • Great Unit!

      A couple things to note and reiterate from previous reviews. Yes this unit is not silent, but it is quiet. It has a continuous electric fan cooling the unit instead of refrigerant, which kicks on when it needs cooling. This is the beauty of the unit, as it doesn't have a compressor taking up a hump in the bottom of the unit. So far the sound doesn't really bother me in my small one bedroom apartment. Temperature fluctuation is a big deal if your house or apartment fluctuates greatly. Since most people heat or cool to 70 degrees, the wine cooler will cool to 55 degrees. Haven't done it yet, but I could go pick up a $3 analog thermometer to prove it if this is a problem. I would rather one less thing built in to go wrong. Bottom line is for what you pay for this unit, it exceeds expectations. It has a lot of storage (although be careful with labels tearing try to get in larger bottles), nice black with dark tinted glass (for UV protection) appearance, no reviews on failing units after 6 months, and most importantly free shipping from Overstock. Try to get that out of most Haier, Avanti, Danby, etc. 28 bottle wine coolers in this price range and above.

    • LOVE IT!

      I bought this for my husband about a year ago. Works great and very quiet. It is actually in our livingroom being used as an end table. The lock keeps the kids out and although I have caught them sitting on it, standing on it and jumping off of it, it still works great.

    • Cool Cellar

      The wine cellar was delivered promptly and in perfect condition because it was packaged with plenty of cushioning. There is no thermometer, but I am using my meat thermometer, balanced on a shelf. If I cook a roast, etc., I'll simply retrive it from the cooler since it is right in the kitchen. When I get new granite countertops, I plan to have a wooden platform built for the cooler to stand on to make it counter-top high and have the new counter extend over it.

    • Not so sure

      I am still not sure we are keeping this wine frig. It came dented up and missing a screw in the back. The dent is visible from the top and sides. It does run nicely, and chills the bottles, but very poor craftsmanship. It also does not fit large bottles as nicely as you would think. Just be careful when ordering!

    • Lasted 2 1/2 years

      For the last 5 months the unit would get very noisy and it quit working altogether after 2 1/2 years. OK for the price I guess

    • Very nice quality

      We have used this for several years and find it to be a very nice piece. We rarely use the nside led lights, but it looks nice when they are on.

    • Great Wine Cooler

      I bought this wine cooler nearly three years ago and it has kept all of my reds and vermouth at the right temperature. Some wines that I bought even before I had the cooler have stored very well and maintained their structure. The fact that there is no compressor mystifies me, but it makes for a very quiet (it's in my bedroom) appliance which consumes relatively little power. If overstock carries them again, I will buy another

      This product worked for one year. It became noisy. Then the temp had to be adjusted constantly. Finally it died. And it says 1 year warranty. Now it just sits there with my wine in it. Not happy It would be stupid to get fixed now. It would cost more than the wine cooler.
