We have had this couch and matching ottoman for one year now. It is in my children's play room. Easy to assemble. Looks great. The cushions were a little hard at first. It does a very good impression of real leather. All my friends and family were shocked when I told them it was vinyl. The real reason why I'm writing this is to say, this couch is very sturdy and has withstood a year of multiple kids standing on the back, jumping on the cushions, standing on the arms and down right abusing it. It still looks great. This is why I would recommend this couch.

This sofa goes with the other Uptown Microfiber Vinyl chairs which are Chocolate Brown and sold on Overstock as well as the loveseat which has sold out. For some reason the posting for the sofa doesn't mention the color.<p>The cushions are removable but not reversible. They are supported by fabric webbing. The arms are well padded.Although the box was torn in shipment the only flaw we found was a tear where a the vinyl was attached to the front stretcher bar by staple. But the cushion covers it.<p>The seating is firm but comfortable. I don't know how it will hold up. We've only had it six days.<p>A tag attached to the sofa says among other things "Only quality leather is used to ensure style and durability". This tag is misleading, since the sofa is not leather. But since we purchased it online, didn't see the tag and Overstock clearly stated the fabric was vinyl micro-fiber, the tag did not lead us astray. I do wonder about the veracity of other statements made on the tag.<p>(Due to Overstock review rules I won't name the company whose name appears on the tag.) This petite sofa will add to your home elegance for sure.<p>The sofa was made in Sanxiang Town in Zhongshan City in Guangdong Province southern China. The workers who made the sofa did a fine job.

Super easy to put together and seems pretty sturdy. I'm 200 pounds and have slept on it numerous times already and it doesn't feel wobbly at all. It covers up the body underneath very well and looks very nice too. Might change my mind when summer hits and I'm sweating profusely and sliding off the seats (not to mention the body underneath will start to smell), but for now I love it. Can't beat the price!

This thing was a bear to put together, but I love the firmness, the high seat, and the fact that it's up off the floor. Unfortunately, my cats have already beat up the arms and back trying to get to the window, so, if you have cats that like a window seat, I recommend protecting the back and arms somehow. This is not the sofa's fault, though. I'd buy the loveseat, too, but it's out of stock.

I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a cheap, decent couch and who hates shopping for furniture as much as I do. This is a vinyl couch. It is made in China. It looks like a vinyl couch made in China. It is good enough for me. I wanted a brown couch that would be delivered quickly. This fit the bill and I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I bought $70 of pillows to put on my vinyl couch and it looks fine. Shipping was fast; I received the couch within 5 days. It came in 3 giant boxes delivered by UPS. FYI: UPS will charge you $4 if you want to schedule your delivery for a certain day (for example, if you can't be home during the day on Tues or Wednesday, but Thursday would be fine). The only tool necessary to assemble the couch is a Phillips head screwdriver. The directions for assembly are not wonderful, but I quickly decoded them and I was sitting pretty within 45 minutes of its arrival. When assembled, the couch is sturdy, but not indestructible. I would not allow adults (especially large adults) to jump on the couch. The cushions are firm and the couch is sort of narrow. I am a small person and I could take a nap on it, but I am not sure a larger human being would be able to comfortably sleep on it. Two adults could NOT lay on it together unless one wants to end up on the floor. The only reason that I am not giving this 5 stars is that the vinyl is pretty thin and within 2 days there were a few little scrapes and scratches in the vinyl from where my cat decided to stretch her claws (kitty got a manicure once I noticed the damage). It is hardly noticeable, but if you have clawed animals or humans that wear sharp clothes, consider yourself warned. This couch is not going to last forever. However, I don't want it to last forever. In a few years, when I am on my feet, I will buy a nice brown leather couch, and I will honor the memory of this vinyl couch as I donate it to Goodwill. This couch may not be Mr. Right, but it is a great Mr. Right Now.

First, thank you to the other reviewers who said the panel lifts up for screwing in the sides - big help! The box came damaged, but everything inside was just fine. It was very easy to put together by myself - only 4 major parts really. Workmanship on this couch is not top notch, but hey, it's a really cheap couch. It looks nicer than it is. I needed something that was shorter than the normal couch, and this worked perfectly. Would be great for spaces you cannot fit a normal couch because it can come apart very easily. I would probably get the microfiber version next time. The stitching on this is not good, and I worry about it coming apart because the pleather may tear if that happens making it harder to repair than fabric. It also gets hot if you sit on it a long time. Very comfortable seating though. The seat pillows stick out a bit - maybe 1/2" - which I don't like. Overall though, a fabulous deal and I am happy with my purchase.

We've had our couch for three weeks now and love it! It's great for anyone with children or animals. It wipes clean doesn't collect pet hair. I love the fact it's a little higher off the ground than our old couch. We live in a cape style house so it is the perfect size for our living room. It was a little crazy putting it together though as I knew from the reviews that it would be. I would still absolutely recommend this collection!

This couch is really comfortable and looks great once you put it together. When you start putting it together make sure you read the confusing assembly review. This helped us put it together. There's an entry point for screws hidden under velcro.

I received the sofa with a week of ordering it. The assembly was quite easy once you realize the instructions are poor! If you purchase this sofa you have to open the velcro closure under the sofa to access the arm assembly. The instructions does not provide that level of detail and trying to figure how to attach the arms and getting frustrated I happen to look under the sofa and realized the bottom was removable - giving access the the inside. Once I did that it was assembled in less than 10 minutes. Overall I am pleased with the sofa. It's very comfortable, lots of cushioning, very attractive and looks a lot more than what I paid for it! The vinyl does look like real leather or at least a very high end vinyl. For less than *** dollars you won't go wrong with this one!

This couch was better than I had hoped! I was able to put it together alone with no problems, it looks sharp, and I have no complaints! I have only had it a few days, but it appears that it will hold up for a good while.

This couch has it all. It looks great, feels great, and was a bargain!

Really loved this couch but a year later I can say that it's wearing out. The seams split in the back of one of the cushions, and the couch itself is getting very lumpy - I can feel the springs. Oh well, it was relatively inexpensive I suppose. I've ordered a new couch.

I read the other reviews about this couch before purchasing and I am glad that I listened to them and bought this couch. We were looking for a inexpensive leather looking couch to complete a living room that is rarely used. I wanted a specific brown and a specific look and this couch seemed to fit both of these things. I was hesitant to purchase but read the reviews and decided to go for it. Shipping price alone and a bargain price talked me into it. This was a very well made couch and does in fact look like real leather. It is soft and very sturdy. I did replace the couch legs, the ones that came with it were kind of a reddish mahogany and I wanted more of an espresso finish. other than that it is great, works well and very comforable. Very easy to put together, instructions did not come with mine and I did it without them. Also the cushions have zippered covers so for those of you that want to hang on to the couch for awhile, you can easily replace the foam if needed after time. All in all great buy

This sofa truly surprised me. I am not the most mechanically inclined person, and was a little hesitant about having to assemble it, but I just was so pleased with the price and the reviews I went forward - and am I glad I did! Assembly was simple, the sofa looks GREAT! and most of all it is comfortable. O.com you did it again! A great price for a great product!

This couch arrived in three boxes -- so no problem getting it up the stairs and into the bedroom. It's being used as a "doggie" couch -- I know, crazy. The quality is good. It's not leather, so I don't know why a booklet arrived showing me how to take care of my "leather" couch. It is, however, good looking and seems sturdy and comfy. Pretty, even. HOWEVER, it arrived with no instructions. If it hadn't been for customer reviews -- especially when having to remove the velcro backing to get as the screws -- my husband may have pitched it out the upstairs window. No instructions! Thank you to all the "customers." ;-) All in all, I would order another one if needed.

This sofa arrived in excellent condition. Though it did not come with an assembly manual, it was fairly easy to put together. My key determining factors in choosing this sofa were comfort for me and my guests and good back support. This sofa is top notch in both. I'm 5'10 and am sitting on it now as I write this review, cross-legged! This sofa is fairly wide as well, as though there are arms to it, I am still able to lay down comfortably on it. No regrets.

This is a very nice couch. It's sturdy and as the picture shows it is high enough to be able to clean under with out having to move it. It's comfortable. I did not put it together all at one time but it could probably be done in well under and hour. Follow the instructions one step at a time and it goes together nicely. One thing: the lining on the bottom is closed with velcro. In order to put the legs on you have to pull up the velcro put the legs on then reattach the velcro and your good to go. Easy and nice.

i was looking for a sofa to put in a frequently used family room that is high traffic and used by many ...young and not. this is the perfect piece..comfortable ,sturdy, above the floor, and easy to clean. i couldn't find a sofa like this in any local stores...so based on reviews,i purchased this one..exactly what i was looking for. good price too !

Surprised could get 3 boxes that contained a couch, and in good shape after handled by UPS during busy season. This assembled quick and all componets to it were in excellent shape other than one cushion thay still has package wrinkles but should come out in with time. Looks good for the price. Fits my wife as her feet touch ground when sitting, so she is pleased. This is a worry free purchase.

It is hard to believe it's not leather, as one person said. It's really soft stuff. It's not as cozey as my old stuff, but I was looking for something easy to clean (two little kids) and a tad nicer looking and this is! It really dresses up the living room. The cushions slide forward at times while you are sitting, but not a big deal. It's long, but more narrow than I'm used to. Again, I pretty much expected this for the price. I'm hoping the quality is good. Hard to know that right away. I got the chair and ottoman as well and the whole set is attactive. I didn't think it was at all difficult to figure out how to put together, maybe because I read so many reviews? I did it all myself in just a few hours.
