We ordered the upholstered platform queen-size bed after moving into a new home and finding that our old bed was too large and dark for our new space. This was our most expensive overstock purchase to date so we held our breath when placing the order. Overall I can't say enough about our purchase from the order process to the product itself. First of all let me give a huge kudos to overstock. We placed our order on a Thursday and the bed was delivered on Tuesday of the following week - 4 days. In addition Overstock called and e-mailed to confirm shipment of the bed, great customer service! We live in Kansas City so your delivery time may be different but I was amazed at how quickly the bed arrived. I also have to say it was very well packed. Each box was bubble packed and shrink wrapped which kept the contents in perfect condition. Some of the reviewers mentioned that the delivery company would not bring the item inside. Overstock clearly states that this is the case with oversized items so I was expecting this. The bed arrived in three boxes, one with the headboard, another with the rails and a third with the bed support. I am an average strength guy and was able to move all three of these into our home without help but did not have stairs to climb. Unlike some of the other reviewers I found assembly to be a breeze. I had the bed fully assembled within one hour of receiving the shipment, it was that easy. There is not a step by step guide but if you have assembled furniture before this should be pretty straightforward. Figure two hours if you are a bit unfamiliar with furniture assembly. Again I was able to do the full assembly on my own. The bed itself is beautiful. The herringbone upholstery looks and feels high end. Don't let the "microfiber" in the description scare you off, this is a well made, high end piece of furniture. Very similar to what you would find from major catalog retailers and at a fraction of the cost. When we purchased Overstock was close to selling out, I am not sure if they will have these again, if they do this is a purchase you can make without hesitation, you won't be disappointed.

Befor eI got this bed, I could not imagine a bed can be this impressive. I spent a long time doing all the research both online and going to the store, and I say this was a very good buy. To get a good bed with this type of design and quality, it typically cost 2 to 2.5 times the price. and that does not include delivery charges, which only cost a friction when I ordered with Overstock. Further more, those bed I found else where are not as good as this one. Both the style and the quality is not as good, I mean, I found some similar bed in the stores as well as Overstock's website, they are SIMILAR but NOT the same. Most of them has similar look and color, but when you look closely, the rails of the other beds are much narrower and the legs are smaller or thinner, and feeling and shape of the the bed as a whole just doesn't add up as perfectly blended as this bed. This is a high quality bed, beautiful desgin, strong built and perfectly presented that brighten up my bedroom like never before!

I moved to New York after last Christmas and was in the market for a bed since beginning of the year and in March (or April) I found this bed and knew this is the one I have been looking for, but then while I was waiting for some money to come in, the bed was sold out! so I thought I must just wait until it become available again, then I waited for more than a month, and it was still not available. So I decide not to wait any more and brought the other bed, and it was a nightmare for me. The quality was bad, and was almost impossible to assemble, and I had to return it due to defect. Then I just went and brought an air bed while I was waiting for this bed to come up. While I was waiting, it became obvious to me what a great deal this bed was in terms of style and price (other similar beds was selling at a price between $2000-$3000) and so when this bed came back into stock, I ordered the bed immediately without hesitation. Within days I was called to accept delivery and was really pleased with this bed. and I am so glad all the waiting wasn't for nothing. The bed looks great and feels high end. All I want to say now is this bed is worth waiting for...but don't try to repeat my experience. If you like this bed, just go for it, you won't regret it..or you might have to wait for an other 3 or 4 months!

We, like others, were hesitant to make such a large purchase without being able to see it first, but we've had such success with Overstock in the past that we decided to give it a try. The bed arrived quickly (within a week) and was very easy to set up. The color is a little lighter than the picture; more of a linen like color, but very neutral and easy to match to a variety of colors. Its construction is sturdy in all aspects, and we would happily make this purchase again!

I am absolutely delighted about getting this bed. I have purchased a number of beds from retail stores recently due to we have moved to Seattle two months ago. I would say this is one of the best purchase I have made amoung them. I was worried about buying a bed without seeing it first but I am so glad I bought it. Even my mother love it (who is usually super picky). It was really easy to put together and it is great quality. We looked at some retail stores and saw similar beds selling at around $500 more, and we still has to pay for the high shipping charges. It was delivered within 5 days and it originally said would take 4-6 weeks! Now we are thinking of getting the rest of our furniture from Overstock!

I had never made such a large purchase online in the past and was very nervous about buying furniture, in particular, sight unseen. This purchase has completely changed my ways! This bed is well designed, easy to assemble, and a beautiful piece. I looked at a lot of platforms beds online and in stores, and this one is by far the best. The fabric is a soft, muted taupe color with a herringbone pattern. The nailheads are dime-sized, chrome, and well-spaced. I have had this bed for two months and have no complaints. Overstock's delivery service was excellent and had this at my door within 2 weeks of order placement. Note that this item is quite heavy and they will only deliver to ground level.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new bed. This bed fits perfectly into my apt and is so well suited to my style. I was very hesitant about making such a large purchase online because a) I don't do that much online shopping, and b) I'd never seen the bed in person. The main reason I decided to purchase the bed was because of all the positive reviews it have received from other owners. I LOVE this bed. The only regrets I have is purchasing my mattress and box spring (we have a bob-o-pedic), before we purchased the bed, now we don't even need the box spring. I knew that xxx had a very similar bed, so after I ordered this one I went to check it out. I must say I was a little nervous because I didn't like the fabric on the xxx bed. The fabric on this bed is much different. It is almost like a microsuede; however, it's not like a couch. The bed is low profile, the set up isn't too terrible. It took my boyfriend and I about an hour and a half to put it together. The color is a nice beige. Each silver nailhead is about the size of a dime. My mattress fits well in the bed. I can tuck in my comforter and it looks like it's straight out of a magazine. I love showing off my new bed to all my guests! The only issue I had was delivery. I had a delivery appointment between 12-4pm. Luckily, I called around 3, they said it wasn't on their truck, and would have to go get it....After giving them a piece of my mind, the bed was delivered at around 4:45. Other than that, the bed is wonderful. I would recommend it to everyone!

This bed is even more beautiful in person. I was looking at beds like this and this is the best price you will find on this bed. It is twice the price at other stores. My bedroom is beautiful. I'm glad I purchased this before it sold out again!!!! It also is very sturdy. There really are no cons to this bed. I didn't have to assemble it myself though, I had someone else do it.

This is a very high quality bed. Its nicely built and the special neutral fabric color is unique (not sure what color it is though). The think pads on the headboard is nice and soft and the entire bed is covered with fabric with beautiful finish. I love the little twist on the corner, edges and the legs of the bed. The high quality look gives this bed a more elegant and expensive feeling. I have had this bed for weeks now and every body who sees it just ask me where we got it from. Although its a little pricey compare to other beds I find, but its worth the money, and I am very pleased with this bed.

In comparison to high end retail headboards, I thought it was a great bargain. It looks expensive. The fabric is very nice. It was a bit of challenge to put together; I would recommend two people put it together. The quality is good, not perfect. More specifically, the railing pieces do not match the corners perfectly. Once you put a duvet cover on it, it is hardly noticeable. I purchased a box spring as it sits too low without one.

The bed was easy to put together, it's solid and overall very nice. I was a bit worried about how long it would take to arrive but it arrived within two weeks after our purchase.

The bed looks quite nice and was easy to assemble. I have a moderately thick mattress and 9 inch box spring. The box spring did not fit. This bed would allow for a low profile box spring, or perhaps placement of the mattress directly on the support system. Aesthetically, the bed with just a mattress was very nice. However the inner support system is cheap and broke within 3 days. The support consists of thin wood slats that connect via plastic snap in contraptions. The "metal" beam that runs down the center of the bed was hollow and not at all adequate to support the weight of two people (130lbs and 185lbs). Two metal legs attach to the underside of the beam, however as the bed slipped about (I have hard wood floors), the legs twisted slightly and snapped. I tried to rig the beam for extra support, but overall it still felt very unstable. The upholstered part is really attractive, and I thought about gutting the bed to get rid of the lousy support issues. Ultimately, on day 6 of sleeping on bed that I feared might collapse, I contacted Overstock about a return. Thankfully, it is returnable.

I was hesitant to buy a bed online without actually seeing it. Thanks to reviews here, I decided to do it. The delivery was within a week and it came in 3 boxes. It took us about an hour to put together. The color of the headboard is very neutral/silver beige, so it worked well with our decor. Very happy with the purchase.

I love the beautiful look of this bed. It has the modern lines with simple design, and yet with a touch of classic elegance with its qulity fabric material and wonderful color finishes. The chrome nail heads on the headboard adds great feeling to th ebed as well. The bed is strong and sturday, yet I like the fact that it's relateively lighter in weight. It's certainly helps as we are constantly moving due to me job needs. The bed is very well designed and built, its going to last a long time. The qulity of this bed is certainly on top of all the beds I have encountered, so the price we pay for it is certainly steal. This is certainly the most beautiful bed I have ever seen or purchased!

This is a really gorgeous bed, and it looks very much like the picture. It was surprisingly easy to assemble. I put it together with two friends and it took us less than an hour. There was one spot on the upholstery that developed a striped look because of how the bed was packaged. It isn't very noticeable and it does seem to be fading. I would definitely recommend this bed!

I love this bed. It looks even better in person. Modern looking with clasic style. It was not too hard to assemble either.

My husband and I purchased this bed about a month ago and absolutely love it! I'd had my eye on an upholstered platform bed for a while, but anything I liked was too expensive . . . . until I ran across this. Don't hesitate - purchase immediately! Assembly was a snap and it's a very sturdy, quality piece of furniture.

I purchased this bed for a summer home. So far I am very pleased, however, I have not slept on it yet. The bed arrived in no time; the shipping company was very accommodating. Very easy to install. Great value and style for the price!
