The pit is very convienent and fun for a backyard marshmellow roast. You can't grill food on it, which I would like to have done. The description says you can but the grate is too low so nothing fits under it like charcoal. I was also dissapointed that it saw a brief rain and rusted immediatley when I thought that it was "durable" stainless steel.

It was a little more lightweight than I had hoped and arrived with several dents--not a deal breaker but a little disappointing. Durability...time will tell! It was not hammered steel.

I sent this as a Father's Day gift to my son in Santa Fe. They loved it. Perfect for those cool mountain nights and to roast marshmallows with the baby.

The firepit was easy to assemble and we have thoroughly enjoyed it this summer. It makes the summer evenings more festive and fun for us and the kids.
