Sleep soundly on this easy-to-assemble sturdy universal bed frame from Uni-Matic. No matter what size your mattress is, this metal frame adjusts to fit. You can also bolt on a matching headboard and move your bed anywhere with the locking wheels....more
I purchased these rails for a new king size Simmons mattress set. Looking at the directions, you may find yourself saying 'what?' It's actually a very simple five step process. Empty box and make sure all the contents is there. Lay out the head and foot rails. Place the extender bars over the head and foot and place them according to the width of your mattress....use a measuring tape if necessary to get accurate hole line up...which I found to be easiest way to go about it....then lock the extender bars in place by simply pulling them tight until you hear the snap. After that, position the middle support bar in the middle section of the frame and bolt with one bolt and nut, at top and bottom of frame. After that, place the glider cups on the middle support bar...this will raise the rest of the frame on one side...now it's easy to place the wheels on one side....the other side will lift, place the wheels on the other side. After that, you can make sure all wheels and glider cups are fully inserted. You could take a hammer and bang down slightly if they are not fulling inserted, that'l do it. Not sure why some thought it was difficult to put together. I put it together by myself and I am a woman. It probably took me about 15 to 20 minutes. Great purchase!
We purchased this bed frame for my college son in his first apartment. I wanted a frame that would have flexibility, in case he changed the size of his bed in the future. It is a very sturdy bed frame, was easy to assemble, and high quality. I am very happy with this purchase. It is exactly what he needed.
Product easy to essemble and came with all the pieces as listed. It is sturdy, as I bounced up and down on it after putting my queen matress set up. It also attached to my new headboard easily. It did exactly what I needed it to do.
We put this frame together in about 15 minutes with no hassle. It is sturdy and we like that it has 6 legs instead of 4, making it even sturdier. We have a queen mattress set on it and is feels solid. I would not hesitate to purchase this item again.
This frame is substantial and was easy to put together.Very nice because it can be used for any size box spring.I have a queen size bed and the frame has a bar that goes across the middle which makes it stable. Also has wheels and this makes it easier to move.I appreciated the fact that it arrived in about 4days and was at my house several days prior to the arrival of my mattress which is what I was counting on.This purchase would have been much more from another outlet due to the outrageous S&H charge. It would almost have doubled the price.Very good purchase.

This bed frame was easily set up. The headboard, also purchased at Overstock , was quickly attached with no problems. The feature I like best about this frame is its size flexibility. For anyone who may find themselves changing homes or family size, this frame will be useful.
First of all, this was missing nuts, bolts, the wheels! (thankfully I don't put my bed frame on wheels anyways). Overall the product did not look like the one in the picture, the one I received is black, I am pretty sure it is not the one from the picture. Its also VERY low to the ground. That perhaps is my fault for not checking the dimensions more closely but it was extremely difficult to attach to the headboard.
We purchased this item to go along with the queen headboard and mattress set we purchased. The frame fits the bed perfect, is sturdy and was easy to assemble. Though it is not visible because it is so well made that the finished bed is seamless and always looks plush and well put together...no sagging due to poor foundation. Will buy another one when I update the 2nd bedroom.
The frame is for a full-size bed for my daughter. I was able to put together without any assistance and it took me about 1 hour to put together with reading instructions. (I'm a 43-year-old woman.) The center frame support is just what I was looking for so no slats were needed for support. It is a great quality item and it came right to my door. The box was in great condition and the frame was in great condition as well. (Even though I needed to go to a hardware store to get short bolts to attach the headboard support together, it is a great frame, and can be adapted to fit a future queen or king bed easily.)
I bought this frame a few years ago and it is great. However, I am moving it from a Queen sized mattress to a King sized mattress and it does not look like it will expand any further. Do you have a diagram or manual that I can see to explain this process.texaschillypepper on Oct 23, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

I have a king bed but the dimensions are 72x80 (not the standard 76x80) Will the frame width configure to my bed?bruce1812 on Apr 9, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your question bruce1812. No, the engineered frames will not adjust to that size, the width is a cal-king width, but the length is for a regular king, as a suggestion, you may want to go to a mattress store and see if they have specialty frames with a C clamp. Have a great day.overstockcustomercare1 on Apr 15, 2013

This refers to the answer provided to the previous question:
The slatted bed base mentioned and provided link to will not takes the place of the frame. Will this frame work for twin size mattress? If so, can I use IKEA's slatted bed base (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/25844409/) to serve as the box spring for this bed? Will the side rail grooves deep enough so there will still be room left after placing the slatted base, so the mattress will stay in place?questel on Dec 19, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Usually the slatted bed base takes the place of the frame so I am unsure how you would use them together.overstockcustomercare1 on Dec 20, 2012

I understand that the frame will adjust width wise to accomodate any size mattress. I would like to know what the length of the frame is? Since the Cal King mattress is longer than other mattresses, is there enough support at the foot of the frame to prevent the headboard lifting off the floor if someone sits on the foot of the bed?warren11 on Dec 6, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Yes, there certainly is. While Cal King mattress sets are indeed 4 inches longer, the side rail on this bed is extra long to begin with to ensure any size mattress set will work.
However, note, no one should sit on the foot end of their mattress set - not so much for "tipping" issue, but do not breakdown their mattress set prematurely.
