I wouldn't call this an ice maker.
Sure this makes ice. How about 20 pieces of ice an hour?? Not sure if mine was defective. It's way too short to reach the top of a counter, so there's a a huge gap between the top of the unit and the counter. Another major problem is the cheap accessory that is used to connect to a water source, high water pressure with buckle the connection in no time at all. Instruction manual was also as informative as my kid's coloring book. Total and complete waste of effort buying this product.

Product would be great but.....
Overstock put stickers on the stainless steel as opposed to the protective plastic covering. I am still trying to get it off without using chemicals that will damage the finish of the stainless steel. The entire purchase was a nightmare and would not recommend using overstock.com to anyone. But don't hold that against the product.

SMALL
This is advertised as 'under the counter"...but realize it is only 24" tall so it too short for the space built in my bar. I have to add a base or fake drawer finish under the granite counter to hide the fact that it is too short for the cabinet height space.I looked at other products; this was in my budget. To get a true 35" counter height ice maker runs over $1000....so take the small price and the small size and make it work.12 LBS of ice is not much, but enough for a party!

Complete failure. flood damage
The water line connection on this unit failed and caused over severe flood damage to my flooring. Manufacturer has yet to respond.

Dependable full size ice cube maker
This ice maker creates a full tub of full sized crescent shaped cubes several times a day. It is very attractive stainless steel door and black trim is not an eyesore. We have it installed in our outdoor kitchen under the counter. Our temps in South Texas are rather mild in the winters but it has done well even in freezing temps. It does have to be unplugged on occasion to defrost. We have the water line long enough to allow us to pull it out of the cabinet to unfrost.
