I bought one of these mattress toppers for myself and after my raves about better sleep my boss asked me to order one for him. On receiving his, I asked him to review it so I could tell overstock.com his review and he and his wife love it. five stars again. This is a must for anyone who has lost weight and feels their bones pressing into the mattress on your bed. It's like sleeping on a cloud and no more pressure spots.
Rating this was hard for me. The good- it is comfortable. Especially if you like a soft topper. You sink right into this. I am very happy with the comfort. The bad- I don't think the quality is that good. If you grab ahold of it to move it too hard it will rip pieces off of it. I guess you could say its somewhat fragile, which I wasn't expecting. So, that being said, I am also concerned with how long this will last without smashing down flat and becoming useless. It doesn't seem like much more than a piece of soft foam to me. I would not label this memory foam, it is mostly just a piece of 4" soft foam. Don't confuse this with a Tempurpedic type material, cause I owned a Tempurpedic and this is nothing close to that material. If you want to add softness to your bed, and don't mind the price, I would say buy it, it will add comfort. If your big on quality and are looking for a true memory foam topper, you might not be satisfied with this. I just hope its not flattened out in a few months. If it retains its shape and comfort I'll be very satisfied with it, in the mean time I will be concerned.
I was very pleased with the product. After reading other reviews, I expected a lingering smell, but there wasn't any. Am very fussy about pillows, and when they came and looked so slim, but they are wonderful. The mattress is like sleeping on a cloud. The mattress cover was very easy to use. I would recommend these products and overstock.com to anyone
I received my mattress topper yesterday. I didn't notice any weird smell that I'd read about in some other product reviews. We laid the mattress topper out and put it on the bed within a few hours. First thing I noticed when I was in bed was that I could roll around without my hips, elbows, shoulders etc feeling "pointy". It's firm but not hard. I didn't have to reposition myself a bunch of times to get comfortable like I usually do before falling asleep. When I woke up this morning, my back didn't ache--it felt comfortable and rested, sort of like I had stretched it well. I think it's really great that you can buy this for such a low price. We had been thinking of buying a new mattress. But there is no need now. Really wonderful.
