When I opened this product there was a slight odor which is characteristic of feather products that have been enclosed in plastic, so I aired the featherbed and cover out for a couple of days before putting it on our bed. We have been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks and it is an excellent product. The odor is not detectable after airiing it out. As with all featerbeds, you need to fluff it about once a week.
I got my bedding super fast. Been using for about a month. The down comforter is so beautiful and extra soft. Best one I've ever purchased. Great price!! The featherbed is honestly like sleeping on a cloud. Just fluff once a week and it will stay even. You dont have to take the sheets off. Just go around the bed and fluff towards the middle. My dogs wont get off my bed now.
The topper has improved sleeping comfort - my husband wakes with less "aches and pains", and has been sleeping better. However, we do find that it needs to be fluffed daily and the fill does tend to bunch up some during the night. All-in-all we are pleased with our purchase.
We bought this as a topper for our futon, since it doesn't offer much cushion. It has made a substantial difference and doesn't seem to retain body heat as I have read some other feather beds do. We are pleased with the product and would recommend this to others. I may purchase one for our bed as well! Thanks for quality products Overstock.com!
