I had a PVC rug pad that I had used when I had hardwood floors. Then I moved to a place with brand new laminate floors and read that the PVC will stick to the laminate. This rug pad is so much better than the PVC one. It adds cushion and holds the rug in place better than the PVC kind. Plus PVC is so bad for the environment. I was happy to find this rug pad and am really happy with it. Plus it is a lot cheaper here at overstock than similar rug pads elsewhere! :-)

This is an alternative to the pads that are twice as much in the stores. It came within a few days, and we had company coming that weekend. Again, Overstock hits it out of the ball park. I hardly ever go to stores anymore, or just to comparison shop. I know I can find it at Overstock when I get home at a better price and they will ship it to my door!

The pad was folded into about a 2' square and the pad fabric or latex coating was stretched where ever it was folded and it does not lay flat. The rug is not too thick and you can see every fold. We though it may lay flat after a few days but it is unusable and we are get rid of it. The pad would probaly be ok if they shipped it in a roll.

I read all the reviews on this and decided to buy it even though there seemed to be some concern with it being shipped folded. I did vacuum it prior to use, but that didnt seem to make any difference, still had a few winkles in the pad. Funny things is when I put the rug over it, the winkles went away. I bought a this pad, because it was thinner and I knew it was going under a thin rug, I had no issues with the rug pad being shipped folded. Remember you will have to cut the pad, I turned the rug over placed the pad on top and cut the pad 2 inches inside the outer edge of the rug. Turned everything back and it was perfect!

I am using this as a pad under an area rug on top of carpet. Prior to puting this on, the rug moved and crinkled. The pad has minimized this from occuring, but not completely. I will try the other side of the pad to see if it works better. It is hard to tell which side to put against the carpet and which side to put against the rug. This is why I don't recommend.

For the price this was an excellent purchase. The pad I received was made in the USA and 1/4 an inch thick. It is some sort of polypropylene with a rubber side fused to it. I bought it to go underneath an oval braided rug I purchased from another site so I had to cut it to fit. It was difficult to cut but it looks great and is holding the rug right where it should be (with a little extra cush.)

I have had thin, flimsy rug pads in the past, but for about the same price, this one is much superior. Gives a little cushion and comfort to the rug and does not move at all!! With kids and pets running through the room, furniture being moved, this rug pad keeps my rug where i put it, even on a hardwood floor. It was larger than the dimensions stated, so I had to trim the edges, but that was no problem. Regular scissors will do the trick. I will be buying another one to upgrade underneath my dining table.

Great for the price. Would have liked it to be a bit thicker.

The pad is just the right weight/thicknes for under my dinning room rug. I had to cut it down to fit under the rug I purchased, no problems no fraying.

I wanted a pad that was slightly smaller than my rug, but this is the same size. Other than the size, this pad is great.

Pad was purchased to be used on new hardwood floor under sisal rug. I am very pleased with the quality of this pad, it was easy to cut [my rug is square, pad is rectangle] with scissors or a box cutter. This pad is "dual purpose" as one side is suitable for use on top of wood/hard flooring and the other side is for use on top of carpeting! The pad is slightly cushioned but not "thick" and there is no slippage or movement at all on the floor. The price is very reasonable, especially when compared to other pads of similar quality and size at $100+.

this rug pad came in bigger than the dimensions listed. it does the job just fine. makes the rug soft to walk on.

Great rug pad, but do not use it on thin rugs. I used it on a rug I just recently purchased and it causes the thin rug to show the creases where the rug pad is. I have used rug pads before and have not had this issue. It's a great pad, just not for thin rugs.

The pads did come in folded pretty tight and as I had looked at other reviews prior to finalizing my purchase I was abit worried about it laying flat. It unfolded well and all I did was go over it with the vaccum prior to placing the rugs on it and BAM it was great. The rugs settle in much quicker than our previous ones and we feel this pad is the reason. It made the rugs more cushioned and it protects our newly refinished floor with extra protection. Rubber side should be placed down I guess is another tip for it to settling quick. The pads and rug have been layed flat for only 24 hours and all is settled and looking great.

This mat is great. It gives a little padding and keeps my rug in place. I had to cut it a bit to match the size of my rug, but easy enough to do. I would get this pad again.
