Two-sided Spinning Tower

We've had a LOT of experience with put-it-together yourself furniture, etc. and this was one of the easiest-if my husband had completely read the directions first, it would have taken about 30 minutes tops. I didn't buy this for a display piece-strictly for DVD/VHS storage-but it is nice enough to be sitting in the living room. I have it on carpet and it did require a little shim to straighten it, but once it was filled to capacity it's very sturdy, turns easily and hides nicely behind my bedroom door. All of the pieces were included, and the directions were simple. As with all products like this I don't expect the finish to hold up forever, especially with 6 cats running into it, but for the price and the use I'm putting it to, it's perfect. In fact, since I filled it completely, and still need more storage, I have ordered 2 of the Slim Media towers to match this one.

I needed to put my dvd's in a stand, and yet not use up too much room, and this worked great. It held all my dvd's, and was easy to assemble. I didn't expect it to look expensive, and it doesn't. It's simple, but sturdy and works fine for its purpose. The price was great, especially if you're looking to save some room. I also liked the fact that it turns around.... it gives it a little extra that most (probably none) dvd storages would have, especially for this price. And the hard top is great if you want to add some decorations on it.

Besides the media holder being damaged upon arriving the quality and apperance aren't striking. The unit is made with MDF and flex wood but the price was enough to think you were going to get a high quality product. So far, the system seems to be spinning and holds the different types of media just fine. Don't be too rough you will scratch the paint.

About what I expected for a storage unit in this price range. Made of inexpensive wood products using rather typical cam-lock fastners, however the end product really looks pretty good and is very stable even on carpet. As mentioned in other reviews, the instructions aren't the best, but assembly was not overly complicated or time consuming. Plan ahead for the one non-moveable shelf. I had to take the unit back apart to maximize the storage for my DVD's.
