I spend quite a lot of time in Japan, so I am very familiar with this style of shoe cabinet which is very common in Japanese homes. I knew I wanted a shoe cabinet that had closed doors to minimize clutter. As a whole, I love the aesthetic of this cabinet. There aren't many products that are similar. Few products would meet the need for a shoe cabinet better. This cabinet is a great size and has just the right amt of room for shoes. Despite the fact that I love the style and basic structure of the cabinet, I was very disappointed in the quality. My cabinet came significantly damaged. There are quite a few scratches and dents. The surface is not quite the same as your typical laminate wood as seen in American wood-laminate products. I actually prefer the texture of this to American wood laminate. But, the core of the wood is clearly plyboard and then is covered with a slick material that looks like wood. Personally, I found the surface material attractive. But, at the end of the day, if the cabinet is dented all over I have to give it a poor rating. In addition to the damage done while the product was being mailed, there were clear quality issues with the doors. They are pretty flimsy and falling apart. I had to use extra glue (as mentioned in previous reviews) to reglue the doors back together. Overall, I found the piece to be poorly constructed. If you want a shoe cabinet that is consistent with what you find in Asia, this is a great product. But, if you are looking for a trustworthy and well-constructed piece, I would suggest looking elsewhere. In the end, I kept the product because it was exactly what I was looking for. It's just a shame that I am choosing to keep it despite the damage that was done before I even received it. Color true to picture. Size true to picture.

I really like this item. I have so little storage in my home, so having a place to house 20 pairs of my size 11 shoes is wonderful! The piece looks great and the quality is good enough. I had trouble putting it together, but it got done. I am not at all diappointed in this piece. And now I have my closet floor nice and clean!!

I was apprehensive to spend so much on a shoe cabinet but I am so glad i did. It is very stylish and useful as well. It looks great in the living room and keeps my expensive shoes from my chew-happy labradoodle. I love the adjustable shelves especially for getting bigger shoes like sneakers in it. You won't be disappointed.

Huge improvement from our cubby shelves we used before. I love that our shoes are hidden and you can adjust the shelves to fit your shoe height. It was easy to put together. I woke up one morning and put it together by myself. My husband woke to find me just putting on the knobs. I only wish that it came in other colors or real wood. But it does the job.

The cabinet functions very well, good size, fits 20-25 pairs shoes, but it was made of particle board, not solid wood, the description was misleading, for $200 I think it is too much.

This shoe cabinet is attractive, functional, and sturdy, however, it should be noted that it is made out of plywood, and not solid wood. The doors have a thin metal grate that is punctured for circulation and design. The instructions are in Chinese, but was still able to figure it out. I do not feel this product is a good value given that it is made out of plywood and not solid wood.

I bought this as a shoe storage after living with so many shoes scattered all over the place at the entrance of our house. It reminds me of my parents house in Japan, where all the houses are equipped with a shoe shelf like this. Very good value and appearance is quite nice too.

My neighbor put it together for me and didn't have any trouble. He said all of the instructions were in chinese, but he was still able to figure out how to put it together. I do not feel this product is a good value given that it is made out of plywood and not solid wood. Overstock should clarify the product material in their description.

I really like it. bought one first and decided to add another one. Two are perfect to hide all of our shoes. Looks great in our mud room. Perfect for shoes with the venting doors. Just what I wanted.

This is such a handy cabinet and it looks attractive as well. I have a ton of shoes and this helps me keep them all organized. I have small feet so I can easily fit 40 pairs of shoes in this cabinet. At a glance I can see all the shoes in the cabinet and find exactly which pair I want to wear with my outfits. Everyone who sees my shoe cabinet wants one!

Some people complained about the finish on this cabinet, but I thought if was perfect. I really like the color, and quality.

I got what I expected and love it!!! I had just one worries to fit my 13 size shoes and it does. So I am even more happier then when I ordered this cabinet. It is really looks good in my apartment and very functional.

Although this may be a bit pricey for some, this cabinet is truly beautiful, very sturdy and well-made, and roomy. I really wished they'd have offered it in a brown wood color, but I got this anyway since it solves a problem of my shoes being everywhere up the stairs and on the floor. Now, it's neat, organized, and the cabinet really shows very well. You'll be very pleased with the weightiness of the wood (it's very thick). We put it together in less than an hour. I really like the semi-see-through doors, too. Great purchase!

Assembly was straight-forward, all parts/fasteners were included, including a small tube of wood glue. The piece is functional as well as nice-looking. It also feels sturdy enough. Overall, a good buy for me.

This the best shoe rack available on the market. Only got 4 stars due to overall durability. I recommend only assembling this item by hand. Be careful not to slam the doors to often..might cause magnetic holders's mounts to to break.

I should have sent this in when I got the cabinet because its great. We have had it for at least a year its like new and filed to the brim.

Nice piece but too small for my Husband's size 12 boots. I'm using it just for my shoes, Women's size 10.

I love this stand. It is a little expensive for this type of wood but it is really cool.

Though this is not a solid wood, it's heavy, decent quality and somewhat sturdy (I would be afraid to place something heavy on top of it though). Instruction ARE in Chinese, but the pictures worth a thousand words :) It took me about half hour to put it together. Fits at least 20 pairs of shoes, shelves can be easily adjusted to fit boots. Previous reviewer is right, the width is around 32 inches. The color is less orange then shown and mingled perfectly with my oak hardwood floors. So far I am happy with this purchase. Its a nice addition to my corridor.

we got this about 1 month ago. it was fairly easy to put together and looks great. it holds LOTS of shoes. we used to have shelves and this is sooo much better. I would highly recommend this.
