Great Deal
Wow this bed was the half the price of similar beds and the quality is great! My son loves the slide and had no problem going from a crib to this bed. The front rail is perfect and there is barely a gap from stairs and slide. Very pleased with this bed. I see its out of stock!!!!

Pine and wood are listed as materials. Is the wood MDF? Are any veneers used?

This is all solid pine wood - South American Pine.
However, the Slide uses MDF.

What should the height of the mattress be? They come in 6-12 inches and don't want it too short or too tall where the railings would prevent falling out?

Thank you for contacting us lindzg. From the slats to the top of the guard rail is 13". In the picture, a 8" mattress in shown.
Manufacturer suggest that you keep at least 5" or more from the top of the mattress to the top of the guard rail, so a 8" mattress is the max height suggested. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Can this bed accommodate normal twin mattresses, potentially a pillow top or only light weight (foam like) mattresses? If there is a weight limitation for the top (including child) that would also be helpful information.
