  • Needs very thin mattress

Solid construction and nice design, but requires a very thin mattress. We tried with our 9in mattresses, and it just doesnt work-- bottom bunk doesn't have enough room to sit up, and top doesnt have high enough rails.

  • Twin Beds

Because there were no reviews on this product, I was nervous to buy it. But, for the price, I couldn't turn it down. This bed is AWESOME! It is perfect for my daughter (and our baby-to-be once she's older). It actually is REAL wood, which, to be honest, surprised me. This bunk bed was so much less expensive than other sites that I did not believe it could be real wood. Assembly was fairly easy, given you're putting together two beds. My husband and I did it in under 2 hours...we aren't handy and our kids kept coming in to see it. One mistake we made: when screwing in the slats, we accidentally covered the holes that the ladder would later need to screw into. So, be sure to leave those free! It was easy to remove the slats, but it would have been nice not to have to. Overall, we are VERY VERY pleased with this bed. And I would highly recommend it.

  • Great buy for the price!

I bought this for my daughters. They are too young for bunk beds so they are in separate rooms right now until they are old enough for them. They were VERY easy to assemble as I did them by myself. I am not the "handy" person in any way so that was great that I was able to get them up by myself in about 2 hours. I was hesitant of the this product because of the price but it really exceeded my expectations. It all was delievered in one box which was very heavy but other than that, it was great!

  • Good quality, solid, and well bult

I ordered these because they were low priced and had good reviews. PROS: white, solid wood, sturdy, clean and streamlined. Easy to assemble. CONS: Spacing between lower bunk and top bunk is less that it seems in the picture. I would like to raise the top bunk somehow to give the child on the lower bunk more airspace between the bed. While it was easy to assemble, there were little letter stickers on each piece to help identify pieces for building. I'm still scrapping off these little stickers. Bed was missing a couple drill holes, which we had to do ourselves.

  • Very Happy

After looking at a variety of bunk beds, we opted for this one due to its clean appearance and great price. My daughter wanted the one with the tent, but I figured I could easily make my own tent for the bottom. It took about 1 1/2-2 hrs to build, not fun but the instructions were clear. You need two people sometimes during the project. Also plan on clearing out the room as you need to build both beds simultaneously and then stack. We are very happy with our purchase.

  • surprising quality

We love our new bunk beds! We looked at so many versions in varying price ranges from $200-$1800 and this one is just as comfortable, classic looking and sturdy feeling as any of the most expensive ones we've seen.

  • Hello, could you tell me what type of wood this product is made out of?

    • Hi kleotide, this bed is made of New Zealand pine. I hope this helps, thanks for shopping with us.

  • The box spring question seems to be like an Abbott and Costello routine. Some answers say you need a box spring some answers say you don't. Can we get an exact specification for the recommended mattress and a definitive answer on the box spring?

    • Hello edstonenyc, thank you for your inquiry! No, a box spring is not required for this bed. With regards to the mattress use only a mattress with the dimensions 74-75 inches long by 37.5-38.5 inches wide and 6 inches high. I hope this helps. Happy shopping!

  • Can you tell me how high the space is underneath the bed? I would like to store baskets underneath if possible.

    • Thank you kmr79 for your interest in the Twin Over Twin Solid Wood White Bunk Bed. There is 10 ½” underneath the bed. Thank you for shopping with us!

  • Is the bed rail included, and if so would it be possible to buy a second rail (or are there two for the top bunk?)?

    • Thank you for shopping with us thesmrf. The top bunk will have the rails as shown in the picture. We do not have extra side rails to sell but contact information with the manufacturer is included with this set.

  • What is the maximum weight each bed is designed to hold?

    • Thank you for your question and I apologize for the delayed response. These fun beds can hold up to 250 pounds each.

  • What weight does each bed hold

  • You stated that use of a box spring is necessary for this bed. If it says 8" matress, does this measurement include both the mattress and box spring together? Or, are you just talking the top bunk? From the picture, it doesn't look like either is set up with a box spring as it would be double the height. Your 30" measurement between the top and bottom bunk, is this taken with a mattress and box spring into account? Also, I plan to use this with a trundle, but can you give me the measurements of the space beneath the lower bed, between the legs and up to the bottom of the ladder?

  • The height shows as 65". Is this floor to top of top rails or floor to bottom of top bed?

  • Does this bed use a twin or twin XL? The measurements suggest XL, but one of the responses stated twin. Thanks.

    • I think that I bought this one an it uses a twin mattress.

  • Can you please tell me the measurement of the opening between the top and bottom bunk? I would like to know if my children would be able to sit comfortable on the bottom bunk. Thanks.

  • on a question below, it mentions box springs. I can not see why that is necessary. Also, another question about a trundle fitting underneath. cit said the trundle would catch on the stair. So, could you set it up to pull the trundle out on the other side of the bed or does the bed have to set up against a wall?

    • No box spring or bunky board is necessary. The bed does not have to be against a wall, so the trundle could be pulled from the other side.

  • I am out of town and won't return til June 9. Can I purchase now and delay shipping?

    • Unfortunately, we do not offer the option to delay shipping an item. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Can the ladder be placed on either end of the bed, or does it have to be installed as shown in the photo?

  • Is there enough room for a trundle under this bunk bed?

  • Can you please tell me what supports the mattresses-is it a plywood board? Wooden slats? Other? Thanks very much!

  • i need to know what kind of mattress to purchase. it says 8 inch for the upper bunk but doesn't say anything about the lower. do i need box springs for both beds if i set it up as a bunk?

    • Hello Valued Customer, thank you for your inquiry upon further research, you are not required to use a box spring on these bunk beds. Both mattresses should be Twin size. The reason for the recommended top mattress thickness is because of the railing at the top, so because the bottom bunk does not have this rail, you can use any thickness of twin mattress you would like for the bottom bunk.

  • Can you provide the manufacturer of these bunk beds?

    • Hello sloveday, thank you for your inquiry! We are unable to disclose the manufacturer of some of our products; however, stands behind every product we sell. When necessary we can contact suppliers if a product issue arises.
