What are the overall dimensions of this bed? Does it have room for or require a box spring?
We are happy with our bed. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. It was easy to assemble. The padded headboard is such a nice change from our old wooden one, much easier to sit up in bed and read without having to arrange so many pillows. Also I love not having to worry about banged up shins from a sharp footboard. The soft edges also provide extra peace of mind with a toddler and baby in the house. Additionally we like how the upholstered look offers a different texture while still coordinating with our existing expresso colored bedroom furniture. Our only complaint is that, like other reviewers noted, the support slats do not feel adequate. We have not had them break but are planning to add some additional supports to protect against that risk. Overall I am happy with our purchase....

Great bed, fast delivery. He only thing is that it is huge!!! You really have to have a big room for that piece. Works great with a massive mattress...Read More

This bed was a big disappointment to me and I wish i wouldn't have bought it. The assembly is very quick and easy and it does look like a bed once it is set up. What i am not happy with is that there are only 4 pieces of lattice that are supposed to support a king mattress from head to toe. The result is that the mattress sags through between every single one of these support pieces. I can feel that when i am laying down every time and it annoys the living hell out of me. Also the bed squeaks like there is no tomorrow. If you live in an apartment complex with the typical US paper walls you will wake up your neighbors when using the bed for anything other than sleeping in it. Stay away from this and buy something made in the US.Read More
Arrived quickly... looks just like the picture (dark brown...) It is not only gorgeous but also EASY to put together... The only "down side" ~ it's not "quite" a platform bed ~ which was in my search que when this particular bed popped up. We bought a memory foam mattress without the "base" (box spring) b/c we were told if we put the mattress on a "platform" we wouldn't need the "base". Easy fix ~ my husband put 1/4" pegboard on top of the slats and 'viola!' ~ platform! We've received a LOT of compliments on our bedroom now ~ very sophisticated!Read More
