This is a very handsome bed for my son - truly masculine. It is easy to put together but be prepared to do some additional construction. The bed comes with three slats only. If you put a mattress alone (as in memory foam) this is not enough support. I had to add more slats and also plywood. The bed is now very sturdy and a substantial piece of furniture. Also, you will most likely have to ask Overstock to send you additional nuts and screws as they are improperly packaged so you will not get the full set. With all that behind us, we are very happy with the bed.

The bed shipped the day after I ordered it. It arrived very quickly, and in 3 easy to manage boxes. In spite of the reasonable price-point, the construction is very durable and classic in appearance. Assembly was straightforward, and very quick for two adults. As has been pointed out by many reviewers, the slats provided with this bed are inadequate for use as a platform. It was easy to correct this. By screwing one of the supplied slats to the interior frame lengthwise, (to support the slightly narrower slats from our previous bed between the rails) we were able to create a strong enough platform to support our memory foam mattress. No complaints after a month of use. We love the look of this bed, and enjoy the support that the padded headboard supplies. It's great for sitting up in bed to read or watch TV. The bed feels rock solid, yet we know it will be a breeze to break down and safely package the components when the time comes to move. Highly recommended.

I ordered this for my tween daughter's room and she is thrilled. (I also ordered the 3 piece Urban tables for bedside stands and a bench for the foot of the bed...NICE match!). My 15 year old son assembled it and didn't have any complaints...didn't seem to take him very long. I am very pleased with the quality. I agree that more than 3 slats could be used...but #1, my daughter only weighs 50 lbs and #2, we are putting the box spring on the floor with the mattress on top...just because we already have a boxspring and need to store it somewhere. That way, she still has the platform look she wants. Another great purchase from Overstock.

It was hard to find a full size bed to fit the small bedroom. The price was as handsome as the bed.

Quality was good but once set up it looks more expensive and will function for years. I would not fool you to say its a high end piece you will hand down to your kids. Not different from other products,the back of the headboard is gauzy material, not pleather which may limit some applications. Worked very well for my guest room. Came with all the parts needed, went together easily. Looks just like the photo. The pleather feels pretty "real" but definitely does not look cheesy.

We are very happy with this bed! The color is a rich beautiful dark brown almost black. It was very easy to put together. My 14 year old put the bed together in about an hour or less. We are not using a boxspring so we had to apply a piece of plywood the size of the bed to support the mattress. If you have a buck board that will work too but you cannot just use the 3 slats that come with the bed without more support.

Bought this bed for my sixteen year old son. He really wanted something with solid headboard in a dark color, preferably leather. I was a little nervous about it because I've never purchased furniture of any kind on line and saw a few mixed reviews about this bed as far as parts missing and no instructions and such. This bed came with every single part needed and had a page of instructions. Granted the instructions were not really detailed but they were there and enough so that I had the bed more than half way put together myself before my husband or son even got home to help me and it took less than an hour to get it all together and ready to use. It says it is for box and mattress and is not listed as platform but I will say that my son has a box and mattress and it is a little high with both on there as his mattress has a pillow top which makes it higher to start with. My son is a little over 6" tall though and has no problem with the height, he likes it. It is so hard to find any kind of bed frame for a full size bed which is how I ended up on Overstock and will say I'm very happy that I did and we are very satisfied with the product.

the only problem is that with the mattress only it is too low and with the box springs it is too high. Also, their is a lot of space between the sides of the box springs and the bed. Made me think I bought the wrong size. But is sturdy and nice looking in my 11 year olds room.

This bed surpassed my expectations for our guest bedroom. For the price it is very upscale looking and durable and even though it isn't real leather it does look like it. I highly recommend this bed. It was so easy to put together that my husband and I had it up in about 25 min.

This bed is very nice looking. Assembly was uncomplicated. We did get a few more slats to support the mattress because it only came with three. It was packaged well for shipping. It seems very sturdy, but only time will tell. I saw it in Kohls a while back - but for much more money. The shipping was only $$$, so I was very pleased about that. Overall, it's a handsome looking bed, sturdy and shipped at a great price.

Great bed, it looks great and it is very comfortable. To parallel the complaints of everyone else, the only thing I could say is that they do not provide the necessary supports for the frame. You will need to go out and buy planks and plywood sheaths for support. Otherwise, you will be falling through to the floor.

Bought this bed for my sons room/future guest room. I used a mattress/box spring and I love it as I don't like furniture that sits too low. The quality is great for the price. I'm very happy with this purchase. My husband and I put this together in less then 15mins. Love it.

The bed was delivered UPS in three boxes. We had damage to the back of the head board. We had no instructions. It was fairly easy to figure how the bed went together. WIth only three slats enlcosed and several bolts, misc pieces that we did not know where they could possibly go. It would have been too costly trying to ship it back. Our solution was to put a metal full bed frame inside the casing of the bed. It has worked so far. Ultimately we have an ok bed. It takes more than what you get with the product to have a bed.

I ordered this and it was missing the feet, the support legs, AND half the screws needed. Plus i had to buy two more slats because the three included was not enough support. Very disappointed. Its a beautiful bed but it was such a hassle getting it together.

The bed was great, but like everyone else said, the three slats were not enough. I tried it out and the bed actually caved in between the slots. After I added additional slats in, which fixed the problem. Otherwise, a great bed and a great price. Looks much more expensive than it really is.

As others have said, this bed requires reinforcement to hold a mattress properly. We tried it without reinforcement and the mattress fell through in 2 days. Adding plywood to the frame works great. My 15 year old grandson is very happy with the appearance and comfort of the bed. Much more sophisticated than his old bunk. Should last through college.
