Frankly, I was extremely hesitant and apprehensive as I an not a "doily" type person. However, although my couch is in excellent condition, I needed something to cover the arm's edges that were starting to fray, and could not think of anything else that would accomplish that. I read the reviews and decided for that price I would give it a shot. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the ivory color and they were just lovely -- exactly like the picture. They definitely look hand crocheted. They are a trifle stiff, but I find that gives them "body". If one prefers them softer, you could rinse them out and even add fabric softener, which I don't think would even be necessary. In all my shopping experiences with Overstock.com, I only had one problem, which they immediately handled to my satisfaction by re-sending me a watch when the metal discolored. If you are in need of doilies, don't hesitate!
I needed some doilies to set beneath knick knacks. These are fine...not awesome, but for the $$ they do exactly what I want which is to add some depth to my knick knacks and protect the furniture. I'd buy them again -- especially for the price!
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? White as white can be
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. No complaints really....not quite the thickness I was hoping for
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Pretty accurate
I was so disappointed when I got these. I bought the 6-6 round set. The material feels so stiff I'm sure I could scrub pans with them. I refuse to use them on my furniture as I am afraid they would scratch the surface. The dainty designs that are displayed on the site looks better than what I received. I compared and mine are not shown on any of them, in fact mine look cheap and bland.
