I had been looking for blinds that would fit the 40" windows in our Master Bedroom and was afraid I was going to have to go custom and spend a few hundred dollars per window. Then I found the Tuscan Bamboo blinds on OS. I was pleased with the quality and look of the blinds and even more pleased with the $30 price tag. The blinds were easy to install and went up quickly. They look beautiful and give the room some really texture. I think the color was pretty true to the picture (of course that depends on your computer monitor) and I would recommend these blinds to friends.

The reason I give the site description a "fair" rating is that it is so hard to see the scale of the bamboo slats online. It's also impossible to tell if the slats are round bamboo "tubes" or flat pieces of bamboo. It turns out that these blinds are made of flat pieces of bamboo that are quite small... perhaps 1/4" in width. To me the bamboo looked larger in the pictures. Also, I wish that O would figure out a way to show the amount of light that their shades let in....from the photos, it looked like these blocked almost all light. In fact, they filter the light and don't offer true privacy... just a pretty screen. I'm keeping them but may need to add some type of liner or a curtain on top for 100% privacy. They are very handsome and solid for the low price.

I really like the shades, but wish I would have chose the ones with the black on the back side. You can see into the house especially if the lights are all on. It is not too terrible, but can see in. So if I had to choose over again I would choose those:)

This shade looks very good on window - just know it definitely does not block out light and if room light is on at night, people can see in your window - i have a drape also -the combo looks fine - if no privacy problem - this is a great shade....
