I was so excited to find these blinds as I had been searching for ones that matched our great room's roman shades. I ordered 9 blinds for the rest of our house. When these arrived, I was appalled. ALL NINE were thrown in a box together with no other packaging. when we attempted to install the first blinds (on our own as these came with no instuctions and the hardware thrown in the same box as well), we could see straight through these blinds from the outside into our house as well as from the inside out. These are no better than glorified screens with a pull string, or uh thread, as the pull string itself is very thin and barely strong enough to pull open the blinds. these are going back ASAP!!! The only reason these got one star was because there was not a choice to give it NONE!!!!

Great shades. Looks perfect in my kitchen. Shades are not solid, light does come through, making it great for a kitchen, or family room, not recommended if you need privacy. Husband installed in 15 min. Shade lowers and raises smoothly, really nice for the price!

I bought these for all the windows in my house (9). I had them installed by a handyman and he didn't seem too stressed by it. The shades do their job. I have drapes with them for privacy. But during the day they provide just the right amount of privacy with light filtering through. They are easy to raise and lower. And a fraction of the price of the same blinds elsewhere. I can't expect these to be very durable, but really no roll up type bamboo shade is going to last a long time with constant use. I am fortunate O had the right size... I looked forever. I hung two in the big windows and the drapes on the sides covered any gaps. They look spectacular with drapes hung at the ceiling... especially if the drapes are a shiny type silk.

I was considering custom bamboo shades, but figured I'd try these with an outside mount for cheaper. I'm so glad that I did! Easy to install, and gives my room a natural/organic vibe.

I bought five blinds in this size and four in other sizes for my second floor windows in our bedrooms. Even my husband was impressed with the look and quality of the blinds. He also thought they were easy to install. The color is both rich and neutral, and I love the way they filter the light from our west-facing windows. As noted by other reviewers, these are not privacy or light-blocking shades, so if you need either, you will have to pair with curtains as I did. The look is beautiful (very Heather C.).

I wasn't sure if these would work for us b/c our window casings are odd. But, the bracket was such that we were able to adjust it to fit on a narrow space. Plus, they were super easy to install and took about 15 minutes per shade. They were packaged well too. The only con is the hardware is cheap. Better quality screws and blind pull cleats would have made this a first rate product, especially for the price.

The product is great for the price, very speedy delivery as well!

Once we figured out the correct way to install them, they were easy to put up. The color is a bit lighter than expected - slightly darker than a paper bag - but they work with our room. It was my first time shopping at overstock. It won't be my last!

I want to let you all know that you need to be sure that you don't mind ordering shades that will arrive much lighter in color than is shown on the OS.com advertisement...The ad shows the Tuscan shade to be a darker brown/chocolate color but, when I received mine, they are much, much lighter than they appeared in the photo. We're talking a light tan with some darker tan accents throughout. Thankfully, my curtains have this color in them or, I would have returned the shades the day I received them due to the color not being anywhere close to what they showed in the ad. The workmanship is top rate for the money you will be spending, just know that the color is not as it appears to be! Hope this helps...
