Beautiful blinds
These are the second color of bamboo blinds that I've ordered from Overstock, and I was not disappointed. We have exactly 29in windows so the fit is quite tight, given that the mounting hardware adds 1/8 to 1/16th of an inch to each side. The mini valance hides all the mountings, so the overall look is clean and somewhat modern. The color is a really nice warm oak, matches our oak hardwood floors pretty well. The picture is pretty close to a true match. For the price, these are way better quality than what you can get at the big box stores.

Nice looking, but...
The shades are fine, albeit, completely see-through. Overall fit and finish isn't great, but you get what you pay for, right? Hardware isn't great. Installation was quite difficult and required quite a bit of chiseling out of the window frame molding. I assumed, incorrectly,that a 29" shade would be around 28.5" or so to fit a 29" opening. The actual shade sizes varied a bit, but all were right around 29" where it hangs. Add to that the internal mounting hardware adding another 1/4" or so and, well, you see the issue. Additionally, the bamboo shading that hangs down varied more widely and was equal to, or exceeded the actual width of the shade mounting, so when mounted on the interior of the window, the shade itself was slightly wider in places and required me to trim some of the bamboo so that it wouldn't bind up in the window frame.. Lastly, one shade arrived damaged. Overstock customer service replaced it at no charge. Thank you. Overall, probably wouldn't purchase these shades again.

Door shade
We used this for our front and side door, very easy to put up and simple to adjust if you have a small margin to work with. The shade is light filtering and perfect for us and our doors.

Lovely but not for privacy
The shades are lovely, fit our windows well and we are enjoying them. The only warning is that they do not provide any privacy at night. If the lights are on inside, it's possible to see everything! However, they do block most of the light during the day and the color goes with pretty much everything. We really like them, but in rooms where we want privacy, we are adding another layer.

great shades
I was having a hard time finding the size and color I wanted locally. These shades were exactly what I needed. Simple install in 15 min. Great quality. I would recommend.

great shades - especially for the price
got these shades a couple of weeks ago and installed them (4 in all) within 30 minutes. they look great and go up and down easily. they even come with cleats that can be nailed in to tie off the ends when in the raised position. they don't completely block sunlight but they provide privacy and style. we're very happy with out purchase!
