Tufted Signature Ottoman

We could tell this was a high quality product right away when we picked up the pieces - they felt heavy and sturdy, not flimsy at all. It took less than 20 minutes to put it together, and the finished result looks great. Absolutely love this piece!

I do wish this was a little larger but I knew the dimensions when I bought it so I'm not deducting for that. Very nice and goes well in my living area. The original site description is not up on this screen right now so I may be wrong, but I expected this to be square which it is not. I'm not deducting for this because I could be wrong and it is only slightly rectangular, but just something I'm putting out there for others. Overall I would (and have) recommend.

My wife and I scoured the internet for weeks looking for an ottoman to suit our needs. We had two main desires from a piece: we wanted to be able to put our feet up on it and also be able to set drinks, etc. on it. We opted for this one, making a slight compromise on our second desire. We decided, though, that we could purchase a nice tray and it would hopefully suit both of our needs well. Unfortunately, this ottoman did not. Firstly, it took Overstock 3 shipments to get us the entire ottoman. The first shipment, we were sent a dog bed. The second, we were sent the correct ottoman, but without the shelf. A final third shipment received nearly a month after the purchase date was required for us to be able to assemble the ottoman. I didn't factor Overstock's ineptitude into my rating for the ottoman, but just wanted to mention it. As far as the ottoman goes, it's actually quite nice looking and very sturdy/well made. The storage area above the shelf was a little smaller than desired, only big enough to put a laptop and a couple magazines and be able to retrieve them easily. It looks exactly like the picture with the one exception being what looks like a soft, comfortable, tufted top is as hard a rock. It's so uncomfortable to put your feet or legs on, it's unusable for that purpose. And since that was the case, it was a poor solution to our needs and we're returning it. If you're planning on using this ottoman for decoration only, by all means, get it. But if you want a comfortable ottoman you can put your feet up on, keep looking.

I ordered this on a Sunday evening and it was delivered on Wednesday. This was my first order from Overstock. Very fast delivery! Assembly was quick and easy. The top is not as soft as the tufting would lead you to believe, but that is a good thing for an ottoman so you could easily put a tray on it and it will sit straight. Since it is a rectangle and nit a huge square it will work in many more rooms. The piece I received had a bottom shelf with a bashed corner. I called Overstock and the customer service agent was very polite and helpful. With that one call they sent a replacement shelf in 3 days. It was in perfect condition. They kept me aware of the status and in fact when I didn't check my email one day the shipping notice was sent and the box was on my porch before I even read it! I'm very impressed with both the ottoman, which is a perfect fit in my room, and in Overstock's customer service.
