I know that chenille these days doesn't have the quality it did long ago, but this bedspread was as bad as to be expected for the cheap price. First of all, chenille manufacturers haven't figured out that we need bigger spreads for the new, deeper mattresses. I knew this spread wasn't going to fit as well as I would like, but because I love chenille I decided I'd live with that. I put it on the bed, thought, "It will do," and then washed it. Oh, my. The amount of lint was horrendous. My old chenille never shed anything like this one did. And it kept shedding even after I put it on the bed. No matter how often I cleaned up the lint mess, the next day there would be lint all over the bedding and floor. And it shrank; since I washed it in cold water, it was probably the heat from the dryer. I kept it on the bed for four nights, then put it in storage to use as a moving blanket to protect furniture. If you have a thin mattress set and don't mind lint, it's a good buy; otherwise, stay away.

Very soft and a good fit. The tufted loops in the fabric knots up and pulls out. Alot of lint.

Love this spread. It is soft & light, perfect for SC heat. It arrived quickly, washed well and it's on our bed now. May get another color.

The product was received in a timely manner. Of course it required laundering before using to remove lint. It looks fabulous on my iron bed, I have accented it with a quilt and quilted shams, adding a nostolgic quality to my bedroom.

I was very dissatisfied with the appearance of this bedspread. The picture on the internet showed the bedspread without fringe and it seemed to have a better drape. I expected it to be a thinner material which is what I wanted but It is very thin and doesn't look like it will last through too many washings. I had bought another bedspread from Overstock that I like a lot but wanted a Summer weight one but this was not a good buy.

This bedspread is just as described -- not too heavy, not too light. The color, though, is more "mustard " than "gold". I really like the weight of this fabric which always looks neat when the bed is made up. Overall, I am delighted with this purchase -- and with the value.

I got this as a light summer spread. It is perfect in size--it comes just past the frame on both sides, and we have a pillowtop mattress, so it is tall. Our quilted bedspread was too heavy for summer--this one is perfect. It has an old fashioned "comfortable" appeal to it. The fabric was as I expected from reading other posts. The only complaint is that it does shed. I washed it and dried it, then tumbled it repeatedly just to get the lint out--I finally gave up because my lint screen kept filling up. Each morning my husband and I have little fuzz balls in our hair :) I'm sure it will eventually stop after a few washings, and this is really quite normal for this type of spread. If you like the chenille look, it is something that you just have to deal with for awhile when it is new.

This bedspread brought me back to my childhood days. I love that it covers my pillows. Generously sized. The material is thin but soft and perfect for the warm weather. The gold is darker than shown. It is more like the color of peanut butter. The matching shams Overstock offers look adorable. I am debating between them and the tufted throw pillows that are also available. Tough decision. Im very pleased and would recommend this product.

I bought this bedspread recently while looking for a bedspread for the summer (nice weight cotton). I was very surprised when it arrived relatively quick. . I purchased the red one and it is a much deeper wine/burgandy color. Very pretty. I washed it (and it did shed alot- make sure you wash it by itself). But i was very pleased with the softness of it. I was very satisfied with the spread. I would definately recommend.

Not the heavy chenille that I prefer, but it is fine as a summer weight bedspread. As a plus, I would guess that it will not shed like a heavier chenille.

This was my first purchase through Overstock. I am so pleased with the bedspread! I am really leary of buying online when the return policy is "unopened" only. However I decided to give it a try and I am happy to say that I love the bedspread. I bought a queen-size for a full-size "oversize" bed. I bought the sage and the color is much prettier than it is in the photo. It falls to the floor and just kind of flows, which is exactly what I wanted. It looks perfect with the antique furniture in my spare bedroom. Thanks Overstock!!

I use this as a throw cover for our couch. I ordered a color that matches well. Now the dog can lounge on the couch and when it looks a little dirty I throw it in the washer and dryer and it comes out looking great. This is my second purchase of this item.

I was tired of comforters and wanted a change. I love the bedspread! The gold color is richer that the picture and fits the bed perfectly. I am so happy with my purchase. I have shown the bedspread to so many people and they all agree that it looks great. I am thinking of ordering the red bedspread for a change.

I bought this bedspread in King, Sage Green and, for the price, it is perfect. The green is a little darker than the picture but for me, that works even better. The fabric is somewhat thin but again, it's what I was looking for in order to wash it in my washing machine. It's still a great value for a king-sized bedspread. I would recommend this product.
