We really like this bench, it is really good loking and funtional, The lid is not as easy to open so little kids wont be able to open, but once it is open the lid stays in an upright possition. Because of were the hinges are located you can't really put it agaist the wall and open it at the same time, it needs to be about 3-4 in. (the lid thickness) away form the wall. Overall it is a very good product in its price range, not even discount stores in town would come close to match its quality. Definetly a good buy.

Received my bench yesterday after ordering it just three days before! UPS delivered it to my condo door which was a big help as it is quite heavy. Everything about the bench is quality and it definitely looks more expensive than it was. Love the color! Its a true deep red and exactly matches the picture. Inside storage is definitely roomier than I expected. Definitely an excellent buy for anyone who would like a little additional seating and storage.

I've always had a problem managing my mounds of odds and ends that aren't quite ready for the bin, but still look unsightly if left out. This bench is beautiful, very high quality, and the perfect way to conceal an entire living room's worth of what would look like junk to the untrained eye. What is more, for my small Manhattan apartment, it provides 2-3 extra seats (basically, a whole other party....). I LOVE IT!!My only warning is that you should have an extra pair of hands available as the weight is about 75lbs. Assemble is extremely easy (I screwed the legs by myself).

What a great price for a well made piece of leather furniture. It's true to the photo in color - a nice rich red, not even close to orange, burgundy or brown. The storage is handy too; well finished with heavy duty piano type hinges. It's firm when you sit on it (which I like) but I'd expect it to soften up a little with use.... It came very well packed and FAST. Easy to assemble (just screw on the 4 square feet.) I have a Persian rug with little bits of cranberry in it. This will pull that color out for me. Very happy with my purchase.

Item was VERY quick to assemble - only had to screw on the four legs. Took longer to get out of the shipping container than it did to assemble. Color is great - a DEEP red, perfect accent piece for our entry.

Love this bench. Have one almost exactly the same in dark brown. Also bought it on overstock. I wanted something red for my entry from the front door. It's perfect. Deep red color is classy. Good construction. Had a slight problem screwing in one of the legs, but we got it. Great piece. If needed, would buy another. Definitely recommend.

Lift the lid and there is a generous space to keep 'stuff''. You only need to screw in the legs, easy to do. It does weigh quite a bit so you may need help to move it around. The leather is soft and a wonderful pop of color in the room.

I love it so much, I bought two. This is the second one. There is not much to assembling the feet. It took me about 15 minutes. Sort of heavy but I managed to flip it over. ( I had help with the first one.) I used a screwdriver (not supplied) to attach the feet. The drawing was a bit confusing because the bottom, etc. had already been assembled. The shape of the feet threw me, but if you don't screw them on tightly at first, you can turn them until they are aligned properly.

Having an accent piece that is still functional is what I was looking for to place in my small bay picture window. The hummingbird feeders are just outside and time is always spent watching the "hummingbird wars". The expectation for spring is higher now that we have a very comfortable seat that looks spectacular as well.

it is absolutely gorgeous. The harderst part of assembly was taking the protective wrapping off the legs. It is sturdy. I weigh 230 pounds and can sit on it with no problems. A perfect foot rest and storage area. I am thinking of getting another for the foot of the bed in master bedroom.

This was the first time I ordered furniture from Overstock or anywhere without actually seeing it first so I was a little concerned. When this bench arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The quality is outstanding, the color perfect and it is flawless. It looks wonderful in my family room. The bench is perfect for storing pillows, games, etc. It is great for extra seating but most of all it looks beutiful in my home.

I searched forever to find a storage ottoman for my bedroom. We have a very large King size bed, so I needed something large enought to sit in front of the bed. The size of this ottoman is perfect and the color adds a nice pop to the space. This piece offers a lot of storage space! I have it filled with handbags, shoes, and scraves!!! Great purchase!

I was looking for a bench for a spare bedroom and this one is perfect. Didn't want black or brown...the red is very rich but still a 'neutral' that blends in with the room perfectly. Assembly was easy - just the wooden legs which took about 5 mins. Interior storage space is another feature I was looking for which this provides. Sturdy construction and leather is also good quality for furniture (and a house with cats). Overall very happy with the purchase.
