I read the other reviews talking about difficult assembly, but I'm fairly handy so I figured what the hey. Once built, it is sturdy and looks great, but be warned that you will need more than a screwdriver and pliers (and patience!) to put it together. The instructions consist of a crudely drawn exploded view with no descriptions and one of the key parts isn't even shown. The biggest problem was with the bracket that holds the water wheel: the hole that should allow the central fitting to pass through it isn't nearly large enough. (This central fitting is the one that the "instructions" don't even show.) You will need to be able to drill or file the aluminum casting out to the required 13/16" diameter,
Once you do all this, though, it looks great, the pump is quiet, and the sound of trickling water soothes away all the aggravation you just went through. I recommend it only if you have a well-stocked workbench, or you have a friend who does.
