I like this so far as it goes. There has to be a certain amount of water flowing through it to really work as it's designed. To that end, the angle of the crook neck plays a huge part. I think one would do better to have a flex-neck instead of a fixed crook neck. If the water restricter is in, the thing dribbles almost regardless of flow. If the restricter is not in, the thing still dribbles without enough flow. I would get a flex-neck piece and try it again to be able to angle it for best performance. Of course, local water pressure plays a big part, and since I don't live in that locale anymore, I have packed this item away and will try later on to reinstall it with the changes I mentioned.
As to the rainshower effect, that was really nice when it worked. I was trying to simulate one of those multi-head showers with a rainshower head and a flex-neck head with many different pattern settings -- it kind of worked. I've since moved and haven't been able to fiddle with the shower in my new locale. Being a renter limits what one can do.
