This looks good and was very easy to assemble. ***********BEWARE************* BEWARE: It is made of pressboard and cardboard. This is the type of furniture I used 25 yrs ago in my dorm room.

This unit was easy to assemble (even with all those pieces) and looks handsome when on display. The light-toned cherry finish matches my clear-varnished cherry wood furniture perfectly (I worried because there is no photo of the cherry finish on-line). Instead of securing unit to my wall, I used shims under the base in the front to make it lean slightly into the wall at the top; this works fine for me, since I have very thick baseboards in my 105-yr-old apartment. Because of the way holes are pre-drilled for shelf mounting "metal dowel pins", I got five shelving tiers for storing DVD's, and a bottom space too short for standing cases upright (so, DVD cases are stacked horizontally on bottom shelf). I'm pleased to say that I can now display 420 DVD's vertically, and another 48 horizontally, for a total of 468; that should accomodate me for a few more months, as long as I don't go wild buying movies on Overstock.com. The results are much more attractive than I had imagined, and I'm very satisfied with this unit.

I've been wanting to get a big media cabinet and this fit the bill. I wanted the bigger one, but it wasn't available in black. It is VERY easy to put it together so long as you follow the instructions closely. I put it together in 1/2 hour and surprised my husband with it and my ability have put it together without him. It looks great and less cluttered than our previous storage system.

I worked in a furniture store for almost seven years so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. - It took about 30-40 minutes to put together, but I could see someone that doesn't do this a bunch spending over an hour to get this together. - The particle board is the very fine particles instead of the bigger chunks of wood. This is actually a good thing. They use more glue and the "wood" is actually less likely to fall apart. - The black finish chips easily but they actually provide a marker to fix any blemishes. It isn't a thick finish so the marker actually hides any chips or scratches very well. - I only use my shelves to store DVD's and books. I actually have six extra shelves and pegs that I don't use. - You won't get a better bargain for the price. The thing is sturdy, stores a ton of media and looks great.

Shipping took about 3 weeks to arrive, which I thought was a bit long, but the product was well packaged and the assembly was easy. Overall I found the appearance of the media case good given the fact this is not real wood. Its perfect for storage of DVDs and CD's and will allow us to organize our collection of media with easy access.

This product was perfect for organizing all of my son's videos, DVDs, and playstation games. I takes up quite a bit of wall space, but not floor/walkway space.

This is a nice little cabinet. I should have got a measure tape out & noticed the height as in the picture I expected it would have been taller... but it does hold movies & the cabinet is just deep enough for movies so it doesn't take up much space! READ the directions before you put it together - it will save you a lot of time. Materials aren't terribly sturdy, but will do the job if you take care of it.

cheap wood, not a very sturdy backing to hold all the media. You get what you pay for.

SOME WHAT EASY TO PUT TOGETHER. BACK SHOULD HAVE BEEN ONE PIECE INSTEAD OF THREE BUT OTHER REAL NICE UNIT. CAN ARRANGE IT ANY WAY YOU LIKE.

This is the first product I would really love to return. None of the holes and screws fit. I have to enlarge every one. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I would caution anyone wanting to purchase this item. Further the quality of this item does not fit the price.

Received media center quickly, but after verifying the parts, realized I got 3 center gables and a left side - supposed to be 2 center gables and I didn't get a right side. So other than calling the company for a replacement part and waiting for that to be delivered, the product is of good value and very easy to put together as well as sturdy and very adequate to hold all of my media.

It looks very nice and doesn't take up a lot of floor space (depth-wise). The down side of that is it is not really a book case but works well for cd, dvd, tape small books and display. It isn't a beautiful exotic hardwood bookcase but is very acceptable and attractive storage piece for most casual, contemporary rooms. It is a good fit for most Overstock shoppers.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I love the cabinet and the shipping was really fast. The only bad thing I have to say is there was a piece of wood that came in the box that did not belong to the unit. That was odd. But other than that I was very satisfied with the DVD cabinet itsel and the customer service. Thanks!

This media storage unit is quite easy to assemble and looks good completed. I like how the shelves are easily adjustable for the size of your media. The only problems I had were the backing boards did not quite fit and were hard to nail in place due to that. Also, some of the packing material leaked a glue-like substance on the unit, which I had a hard time scraping off without damaging the surface. Neither of these two things take away from the completed appearance, so I am very happy with the item and amount of storage. I highly recommend this item.

We purchased 2 of these for my husbands large collection of CD's and DVD's. We put togther 1 so far and it took us about 3 hours. I believe the second one will be quicker as we know what we are doing now (and I won't be getting directions from the peanut gallery) but the piece itself is very sturdy, nice looking and works well in our space. We are actually ordering a 3rd unit.

I got this for my brother as a Christmas gift. He is the guy who has everything. This was a great surprise. He loves it. It took him about 40 minutes to put together. Not one piece was missing.

I ordered the black storage unit and I've had it for over a month now. When compared to other storage units that top $200+ it's well worth the price. While it's not extremely 'thick', it is sturdy and fits nicely against our wall, giving us more space in our living room. If you've got the space, I'd recommend this unit over the double-size since it's not that much more cost -wise and you get so much more storage space for CD's, VHS's and DVD's. I'd definately buy this storage unit again and recommend it to anyone looking for extra space to store their media items. A+++

It was heavy and needed help to carry it up stairs, but put it together and it was great. Had more shelves than I needed, we use it to hold computer game boxes. Great value, height is good (I'm 5'4") and I can reach all the shelves easily. The width makes it more stable and hold lots & lots of items. The black and cherry match the game room decor.
