Transitional Leather Chairs (Set of 2)

These chairs came packed very well and there was no assembly required. Only one of them had any flaws, and that was a tiny area where the finish chipped off the bottom of one leg. If I wasn't going to paint the wood black, I just would have used a touch-up marker to fix it and no one ever would have noticed. The leather is ivory, but it has a greenish cast to it. I was hoping for a warmer ivory, but it's not a deal-breaker. It appears to be good quality leather with a matte finish, and there were no imperfections in the leather of the four chairs I received. The wood finish is somewhere between walnut and antique cherry. It's dark, but not as dark as it appears in the picture, and it has a very slight reddish cast. If you had mahogany, antique cherry or walnut furniture in the same room, these chairs would match just fine. As for comfort, we've only sat in them long enough to eat dinner but they seem to be comfortable as far as dining chairs go. The backs are gently curved and the seats are somewhat firm. I am only 5' 1" and I don't feel dwarfed by the chairs, but neither does my 6' husband feel the chairs are too small. I do wish the seats were a little higher, but if you're of average height they will fit you just fine. We have a 42" round table and only two chairs will fit at the table when they are pushed in; when dining, the four will fit just fine. They look great at our table but I don't know that I would like these chairs at a table that was not rounded.
