These are sturdy attractive fixtures. One of the two we purchased did not have a mounting hole, but we were able to drill it out, based on the other one. Other than that, no issues. We're happy with our purchase.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The site makes the fixture look more chrome colored, but it's definitely nickel (a hint of gold in the gray)
Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality was pretty good--one of the two fixtures I purchased had a slight manufacturing defect that we were able to remedy
How much would the brightness be affected if a lower wattage, say 45 or 60 watt bulbs were used instead or even CFL bulbs? 100 watt would be high on electricity charges.
Also, since CFL bulbs are longer than the conventional ones, the length of the shade is required. Could you let me have this info? Thanks.homequeen2 on Dec 13, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your question homequeen2. A 100 watt incandescent bulb equals approximately 1600 lumens, 60 watt = 620 lumens and a 45 watt = approximately 263 lumens. A 26 watt CFL (equivalent to a 100 watt incandescent) equals approximately 1600 lumens. Lumens values will vary depending on bulb manufacture and type of coating on bulb.
