  • Very nice fixture

    I placed this one in the guest room. It is a very nice looking fixture, I am very pleased with the way it looks. It can be very bright or soft, dependign on the light bulbs, it can go up to 60, but I put 25 watts, since there are six of them and it is a guest room. soft lighting reflects through the butterflies through the wall, it is beautiful. Love it!

    I purchased this chandelier for a bathroom remodel, and it looks amazing. Everyone raves about it, even the electrician who installed it. For the price, you cannot beat it. It is definitely worth several hundred dollars, extremely high quality and provides amble light.

What are the actual shade dimensions? I've read elsewhere this is a drum shade with fabric. What type of fabric? What type of crystals? Reflect the light? Prismatic? Do the butterfly cut outs and/or the crystals create shadows on the walls or ceiling? There is a grey chandelier with daisy cut outs that reflect those patterns on the wall. Does this do the same with the butterflies? Is there an inner lining? If so does it cover up the open cut outs? Thanks for always answering my questions. :) thepersonalshopper on Feb 17, 2013

Thank you for your question and I am so sorry for the delayed response. This is a drum shade with an 18-inch bottom and a 16-inch diameter at the top, with a 10-inch height. Unfortunately, we don't have the exact fabric type, only that it is red fabric. There is no marking on the crystal, but they typically use Stravorski. The crystal looks good and they do reflect the light and sparkle. The butterfly cut outs do create a very slight shadow on the wall two feet away. The cuts are micro cuts, so you can't really see in or out through the cuts, but there is no inner lining. you can change the height and drop it down as much as you like. I placed it in bedroom, and made it high, using only couple of the chains. inside is silver. Shade is velvet like material, butterfly figures almost removable to help reflect the light. 6 light bulbs can go as high as 60, I only put 25 in each to give a soft feeling. it is very nice funda on Mar 13, 2013
