Decent
I like all the pieces, decent weight, good balance - just wish the knives were a bit heavier than they are. Other than that - decent flatware.

MATTE FINISH, NOT AS BRIGHT AND LIGHT AS THE PHOTO
Lovely flatware, nice weight, feels good in the hand. The on site photo shows the flatware lighter and brighter than it really is. Actually, it has a brushed finish, making it more of a matte finish and the handles are not as shiny. I like the matte finish, but some people don't and this photo is misleading. However, tIhe actual utensil portion of the flatware is very shiny. It really depends upon how the light hits it. Another flatware site states that the finish on this Continental size Hammersmith is the same as the original set in traditional size and that the only real difference is the size of the soup spoon. In the Continental size, the soup spoon is VERY large.....probably as large as a serving spoon. My husband loves it.....so it works well for us.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The photo on site shows the flatware much "brighter" than it reallhy is.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very good, 18/10 strong stainless steel, TOWLE quality.

Matching flatware
I bought this set of flatware to match a Towle Hammersmith set I bought in 1987. The shape and size of some pieces has changed slightly, but the finish and pattern were a perfect match. I was very happy to be able to find this product at all, after so many years. I am pleased with your service and with the timely delivery.

Towle Hammersmith 45-piece Set Flatware
after many years my old pattern was down to a few of each pieces. It was such a pleasure to find this pattern again..even though it is no longer available. This flatware is larger than the original - but I knew that from the reviews and it was not an issue for me. I have had two excellent experiences with Overstock. com. Would definitley recommend this company!!

Adding to set
This is the stainless pattern I have had for years and have lost pieces over the years. This is a great set and the knives are now sharper with this set and the size is much better. Delivery was fast.
