But HUH? the clasp plates don't secure the chair seat to the frame in quite the way you would expect. I will probably have to add a washer or nut to the bolt that screws into the clasp, otherwise it doesn't seat properly. Other than that, EXCELLENT replica, I have original BERTOIA chairs in orange and green Naugahyde in my living room--stool is for my retro-themed kitchen.

The only thing that I was not happy about was that the legs were sticking out of the box and the 2 front feet had been broken off. Overstock quickly had the manufacturer resend some feet for me. All I had to do was unscrew the broken ones and reattach the new ones. Other than that, I really like this chair.

I love the look of these bar stools, however, they are not very comfortable due to the back not having a cushion. The screws for the seats need to be shorter to fit correctly, because they are kind of loose. If they would give you the correct screws and give you an option of different color cushions (not just for the seat but for the back) this would be a great product.

This is a great barstool based on the classic modern Bertoia line of mesh seating. If you can't afford the original this is a good alternative. However, the stool came in a box without anything inside to keep it from shifting. The stool actually arrived at my house with the feet sticking out through the side of the box and the bottom falling out of the box. Luckily the chair is completely wrapped in a small strip of bubble wrap or it would have been in terrible shape. Putting it together was a pain as well since the screws that attach the seat to the legs were too long, so the seat would not sit snug to the legs and would wobble if you tried to sit in it. I was able to fix it with some new screws, but very inconvienent. The stools turned out great in the end, but it was more work than it should have been.
