Can this mattress be used with box springs?
I'm a side sleeper with two crushed vertebra, so I needed a nice firm surface--this delivered. While it seems at first overly plush, once your body weight evens out it feels like sleeping on a cloud, not on a flat surface. "Where did the mattress go?!" My wife loved her old pillow-top and she loves this thing too, so I can only guess it's made with magic. We're not even using a box spring. I'm glad we bought this over the $2000 one we tested. Delivery was fast and unpacking was easy. No odor. Fantastic deal. Hope it lasts as long as they claim!...

Have purchased foam for a Murphy bed so I was glad this foam made from natural products had a stitched top, reinforcing the edges. No bad odor and resizing from condensed airless stored state was quick, not days but hours. We got a king size, to do again I would open on box spring. So far we are very pleased with the mattress.Read More
Mattress is too thin. I should have read description more closely! Bed very low to floor.I could kick myself for buying this, but too late now! Will read more closely next time.Read More
This is a great mattress! Very well made & beautiful to look at. The mattress is quite firm, in fact way more firm then what I was expecting and took some getting used to, however after a little over a month in use, I'm in love!! I am glad I waited to review this item because initially I felt a tad bit disappointed because of how firm it is, but at about the 3rd week suddenly my body felt comfortable and well supported and now I would not trade it for any other mattress! My husband loved it from day one & so did our kids. As a family that co-sleeps this bed couldn't be better for us!! It's roomy, comfortable & best of all when one of us is tossing & turning no one else can even tell! It is easy to get up without disturbing anyone because of how still the bed remains. I also love the fact that it is less toxic then a conventional mattress and I feel good that we can all sleep restfully and safely! This is the most affordable mattress around and super comfy to boot!! Highly recommended! Don't be fooled by it being only 8 inches, it is so supportive and is a perfect height in our room.Read More
My husband and I are mostly stomach sleepers, so we like a good firm mattress. But it is often hard to find a certified healthy green mattress that is also firm. Plus, he is allergic to latex, so we can't go that route, which is often too soft for us, anyway. The Spaldin Innovation is exactly what we were looking for. We love the fact that it is certified to not emit scary VOC's, and just as advertise it seems very clean -- we've been sleeping like a log. Thank you Spaldin!Read More
Love this bed! Best I've ever had. No funky chemical smell. expanded super fast. Just great!Read More
We are happy with our purchase. My husband prefers firm mattresses and he is very happy. I personally prefer softer mattress, so I'm adjusting. But, we plan to buy a soft mattress pad for my half of the bed.Read More

Best Reasons to Have a California King Bed

Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

If your mattress is thicker than 14 inches, you may have struggled to find the right sheets. If you're not sure what to shop for, take a look at these answers to frequently asked questions about deep pocket sheets.
How to Buy Sheets to Fit a Pillow-Top Mattress
Everyone knows that pillow-top mattresses are designed for additional softness and comfort. Due to the padding, pillow-top mattresses have more depth than regular mattresses. Specially made deep-pocket sheets for pillow-top mattresses are available; however, it is important to know the depth of your mattress before purchasing sheets. Here's how to buy the best sheets to fit your pillow-top mattress.

Popular Sizes of Pillow Tops
Do you have an uncomfortable mattress that needs replacing? Your health, energy, and happiness rely on the quality of sleep you get, and a stiff or uncomfortable mattress can get in the way of a good night's rest. Pillow top mattresses make increasing comfort easy. If you're shopping for the best mattress, you'll want to learn about the most popular sizes of pillow tops.
There are basically three common types of mattresses used today: spring mattresses, memory foam mattresses, inflatable mattresses and feather beds. Each type has its own benefits. A mattress pad is a less expensive way to add comfort to your bed than purchasing a whole new mattress. With that said, if your mattress is lumpy or saggy, a mattress topper probably won't make much difference. If it is good, though, you have many different choices in material, price, and comfort. Whatever you get, just make sure you purchase the right size for your bed frame. Take a look below to learn more about the best-selling mattresses on the market.
