My husband and I had been shopping for 2 matching tiffany style lights for our hallway. To find two of the same is hard as well as finding one that would compliment our decor. Our neighbor suggested this website. We had never purchased anything online and it was a pleasure to do business with Overstock. Our lights came promptly. Even though the description was well detailed, the picture really does not do this piece justice. They are exactly what we wanted and are so beautiful. Our electrician said that installing should not be too hard. These are truly a great find and a real bargain in comparrison to retail stores. I will be back!
We purchased this light for our second floor hallway. The colors are absolutely beautiful and rich. I don't think the picture gives a true representation of the color. There is a deep purple in this light that looks rather light in the picture. I also had an electrician put it up and he had no problems with it. Mine has regular bulbs in it, so I plan on switching to a stronger wattage because we could use some extra light in our space. Overall, it came packaged well, and quickly! The glass shade has some weight to it - not flimsy or thin. I like it so much, I would be a second one if I had a place for it.
I just got my lights installed. I had a professional electrician do the installing. He did have a little problem getting the screws to line up to finish the installation. However, he accomplished in a matter of minu;tes. I did install a energy efficient 100 watt bulb which really illuminates the fixture and it to its fullest beauty. Very much worth the price.
It is difficult to find a semi-flush mount tiffany lamp. I ordered three of these and put them in my kitchen. The lamp is beautiful and the workmanship is good. The only problem I had was that it doesn't put out alot of light. I solved that by putting in the small 23 watt florescent bulbs that put out the equivalent of 100 watts of light. The shade colors shown in the picture are representative of the actual product. However, the base is more bronze than it looks in the picture which was fine with me.
