I love these lamps. They're beautiful and would complement many different color schemes.

We bought two of these hoping to brighten our autumn-y bedroom. The colors are as beautiful unlit as when the lamp is on. The workmanship is very nice for the price of the lamps, and we'd have been happy with them at $100 more. The shades tend to sit a little loosely, but that hasn't been a problem as they sit up against a wall. The glass pieces are leaded in nicely and neatly. Be aware that the part that looks like the pieces are very small is actually one larger piece of glass and the "leading" is piped on. This in no way detracts from the beauty of the lamp, and we would not expect that level of detail unless we had paid at least $700 for each lamp. We like the slightly unorthodox design of both the base and the shade. Those features make the lamps almost as much art as utility. I fiddled with lightbulbs, and am most happy with two of the "soft white" compact flourescents (40 watt substitute).
