They must have fixed the short screw-attachment problem because all components were appropriate to the task at hand, lamp was easy to assemble and looks lovely.

Lamp is gorgeous with light both on and off. It is more blue but still colorful, when light is off, and just as pictured when light is on. The pole is metal painted dark brown. Its simplicity suits our decor. Works perfectly as a reading lamp as the light can be positioned right over the book when seated on the couch. I used a flourescent bulb, to get more light without exceeding wattage limit. The price made it affordable for us to be a little decadent in selecting something beautiful and practical instead of just practical for a lamp. It is very easy to put together. It took less than 5 minutes. The screws were long enough to hold the shade in place very securely. We are very happy with the touch of color and beauty it adds to our rather minimalist living room for a very affordable price.

This is a smaller lamp - which is exactly what I wanted. Can use for reading or hobbies and is very decorative. Colors really pop when it is lit. Heavy and well made.

This came out of the box and went together in less than 5 minutes and it is absolutely gorgeous.

The shade is more beautiful than the picture shows. Workmanship is of excellent quality.

I love this lamp! The only problem I have with it is the screws holding the shade don't screw in tightly enough but that I can live with.

The shade is beautiful, more blue than the photo shows. However, I've sent this back because the tiny screws provided to hold the heavy shade are inadequate, and the shade would slip onto the bulb...if the bulb wasn't there, the shade would be crashing to the floor.
