Bargain.
from Montclair, Va,  Oct 27, 2010

It would cost double at a hardware store. Very attractive. I wired it direct in the bedroom, so I did not use the stem, switch or plug. It looks and works great.

lovely
 from california,  May 7, 2009

the lamp was so pretty in appearance but the featured product neglected to add that you need to do your own wiring, so putting it together was not so simple as just hanging it up. the price was great and now I understand why, but overall again the look is lovely and worth the effort.

Fantastic Buy for the Price
from Johnson City, NY,  May 7, 2009

We purchased two of these lamps for our den. We They were very easy to assemble and install. The only item that was not clear was the electrical line cord switch. We went online and researched installation of an electrical line switch and have been enjoying the lamps. They look better than in the picture and give you suttle lighting, We put 7 watt nite-lite bulbs in and they look fantastic. If you have a small amount of floor space, this is the perfect solution.

I admit, I have no electrical background...but I am able to follow instructions. However, the diagram with the instructions is worthless. The main pieces are easy to assemble, but when it comes to the wiring...that was interesting. If you know someone or can pay to have it assembled, do it. Once I had it assembled and hanging, I love it.

Bronze pin up light
from New Hampshire,  Apr 9, 2009

The light is nice. The directions really do stink. It is much easier to do the wiring if you use common sense instead of the directections provided. It is nice, but with the rod attached that hangs down, there is no room for a switch, so you have to use the outlet for on and off. If you do not attach the rod that covers the wire, you could use the line switch but it would not be as attractive. The Plug: cut the exposed wire off, press the end of the still rubberized wire, deep into the well on the inside right of the plug, then press the cord down on the two prongs, (one on either side) firmly. pressing firmly on the cord, close the cap. Test the light in an outlet that has a trip or surge protecter. If it doesnt work, just make sure the wide prong on the plug and the side of the cord with the groove in it is facing in the direction it is supposed to, press down firmly again on the prongs, and replug. Good luck, after it is finished, it is very nice, and looks expensive.

do not buy this lamp -- NOT as advertised
from South Milwaukee, WI,  Dec 16, 2008

I bought 2 of these lamps to hang on the wall, and as they are billed as "plug ins," it seemed that it would be easy to do. What a laugh! These lamps do NOT come assembled AT ALL . Besides assembling the lamp body, the cord is not even hooked to the electrical plug! You will need an electrician to assemble the plug and cord parts. Mine are just sitting in a closet til I can afford to hire an electrician. The instructions are pitiful. The cord itself is extremely difficult to pull through the cord cover. The cord covers are very short and would only reach partially to the floor. I am totally disappointed with this purchase and may try to send them back. If I could I'd rate this "deal" a minus 5.

NOT "just plug in" as stated in description
 from Minnesota,  Dec 4, 2008

the sconces are great, most of the assembly was very simple; HOWEVER, you need to wire the plug on the end of the cord. Not easy if you are not an electrician, mainly due to poor intructions. I had a friend do it for me who had done it before and knew what he was doing. When I attempted to do so with the enclosed instructions, I blew a circuit breaker.

lamp
from Newnan, GA,  Nov 28, 2008

This is an absolutely a beautiful lamp and a very good value. Everyone who has seen it loves it. The only problem I had was with the electric cord -- the on/off switch. The directions were incomplete. I called the service # and they were great and walked me through the process.

Wall lamp
from Pittsburgh, PA,  Nov 7, 2008

I had broken my wall lamp and searched on Overstock (as usual) for a replacement. The lamp is prettier than in the picture. Directions for assembly were fairly simple; however, I found myself not knowing how to integrate the on/off switch! The directions never addressed the switch. I turn the lamp on by plugging it in, but it is still a wonderful value and very nice looking in my living room.

plug in tiffany
from los angeles,  Dec 4, 2010

The lamp colors are really nice glass. I would buy this again. The instructions to attach the plug to the wire were lacking. Do you strip the wire bare and then attach it or what, when i plugged it in the smaller plug melted a little. now i have to wait till Monday to call the 800 help line or go out and buy a new plug to attach the wire to. Oh I do have to buy a new plug for sure because the plug it came with is not safe.

Great value!
from Los Angeles, CA,  Dec 3, 2010

I bought two for my dining room and I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on them. They were relatively easy to install, but I agree with other reviews that the dimmer was impossible to get to work. I ultimately had to just buy another attachment from a chain store that turned created a dimmer effect. Completely worth the money.

Great reading light
from Deerfield, WI,  Dec 1, 2010

The Tiffany light looks great and works like a charm. My husband hooked it to the"clapper" and these are over my bed for reading purposes. They look beautiful with my headboard and with the decor and provide great light for reading.

Little Wall Lamp
from So. Fla.,  Nov 15, 2010

I liked this lamp so much I ordered another one. I plan to put them on either side of the fireplace. They are a soft light, very pretty and different. Maybe I should have given it a 5 star but I will save that for something else.

Amazing
 from wa,  Sep 9, 2010

These are gorgeous, and have plenty of light. They're easy to assemble, although I'd have to agree with those reviewers who didn't like the switch. We bought better switches and used those instead. We couldn't be more pleased!

Excellent Value
 from Federal Way,WA,  Aug 5, 2010

I have purchased a lot of Tiffany lamps, and I must say that this one is truer in color to the picture than any I have seen before. It is somewhat larger than I pictured, but not too large. A candleabra CFL bulb fits inside very nicely. I am placing these behind a barrister bookcase to either side of a print in compatible colors. I expect it's going to look fantastic! I would buy this again, AND recommend to a friend!

Beautiful!
from Nashville, TN,  May 1, 2010

Love the lamps and the intimate glow - just the right amount of ambient light to set a relaxing mood. Colors are muted and and look great with dark wood and blue greys. Also easy enough to install - did have to work a bit to get the cords through the covers. We also ended up ordering a third lamp as one of the first two had a small chip in the glass. The third one had a small defect in the glass as well, but not as bad. At the great price, we just kept all three and may use the chipped one too. Overall a very good lamp at a very good price.
