  • Beautiful but doesn't hang flush to ceiling

    I purchased this for my breakfast nook, and the installation took under 30 minutes. The lamp component is beautiful whether the lights are on or off. My single biggest complaint is that the fixture cannot be flush to the ceiling. Rather, there is a chain of approximately 18 inches that you can't cut or completely hide. As a result, I have an unsightly 5 inch gap between the "base" of the lamp shown on the picture and the actual base connection with the ceiling. (Hence the "2 star" appearance rating). Had I known the fixture wouldn't hang flush (as the picture would suggest), I would NOT have purchased the lamp. However, I wasn't about to uninstall the lamp and send it back. It's otherwise beatiful and well made. It would be perfect if I'd bought it for an area in my home with vaulted ceilings. Also, I'm fine with the light output, but some people may find the light output to be quite dim - due to the red glass, the light output is comparable to strong candlelight.

  • really nice looking, right size!

    Only problem we had (and we made a small change) but like others have posted there is a weird gap at the top that would make it "hang" rather that that square area be flush with the ceiling. But anyone that's a little handy can fix that! Lights up and adds an awesome pop of color! but these isn't any light gold likein picture, once it the other colors wash it out.) But VERY NICE LOOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? No, if you're looking for gold/yellow it gets washed out once lit, but I LOVE it,firey reds and oranges GORGEOUS!

  • Very nice

    We are very happy with it. As pointed out by other reviews, the color is completely red, no yellows. But we like that, and it's very well done. Ours is a little asymmetrical, but not that big a deal. We too shortened the chain, it's very easy to do, and think it looks fine. Need to use smaller lightbulbs so you don't see the bulbs over the rim. We also used clear bulbs, which made a big difference in the light output.

  • Beautiful light

    Love this light! Came in less than a week after I ordered it. We shortened the chain by about half and love the results. Our light is all red tiles, no yellow or other shades as pictured. It's still very pretty, but if you're decorating based on the lighter shades, I would avoid this light. Very stately and elegant. It's a soft glow, gives the feel of a fine dining experience.

  • Tiffany-style Red Hanging Lamp

    Very nice ceiling light. The color of the glass is mainly red with little yellow, therefore making the light even when lit darker than expected. Please note there is a ceiling canopy (round with a chain) that is included but not mentioned in the details. The fixture is not fixed to the ceiling by the square base pictured but by the ceiling canopy making it longer than we anticipated. To remedy this we removed all the chain except for one link which we attached to the ceiling canopy and then to the square base that is pictured. That lengthened the lamp about 4 inches. Please do not think this is plastic...it is truly stained glass.
