The lamp looks great from several feet away but if you get too close, you see the defects. The leading on the shade is not real - it's glued on. On my lamp it's separating from the glass in a few spots. I'm not even sure the shade is made of glass; it kind of feels like heavy plastic. All in all, if I had seen this lamp in a store and been able to look at it closely, I would not have purchased it due to the quality. It does give off a very pretty, soft light and I like it enough to keep it. I've made purchases from Overstock in the past and been very happy with the quality of merchandise. I guess you win some and lose some!

I am not a real fussy person and have a beer budget (not Cristal). The lamp looked so cute in the picture and I knew it would go nicely in my living room. The edging is all crooked and the shade has an oily like film that I can't get off. The packaging was ridiculous. When I took the pieces out of the styrofoam they were encased in the styrofoam literally exploded. It looked like it snowed in my living room. When I tried to return it OS.com wanted me to pay *** to return this piece of junk. I will go to a craft store to buy some material to try to straighten out the edges and then put this in my guest room. If my guests are tired enough they won't notice the poor quality. Overstock from where? I guess China is overstocked on this item? I can see why. I will not be ordering from OS.com again.

These lamps are heavy and nearly impossible to tip over (we have small grandchildren who grab onto the table edge to stand). We've received lots of compliments on them. I was very happy with the quality of the glass in the shade and the ability to turn on one or both bulbs is a real plus.

We've enjoyed using these lamps in our home office as desktop lamps. You can switch up enough lighting for both day, late-day, and night work. The sockets accommodate power-saver bulbs (not always the case with specialty lamps!) which reduces the heat and waste. The lamps are substantial; they don't get knocked around when moving items, yet they are portable enough to adjust for different types of work. Shades make the lamps quite compatible with laptop or office computer work -- no glare. Quick to assemble, and easy to maintain or clean.

I was somewhat disappointed in this lamp because I thought it was going to be actual stained glass, but it is not. It is some sort of plastic and the caining that decorates the outside of the shade is plastic which has been attached to the outside. However, I kept the lamp because it is not unattractive and works for what I needed it for. Just don't expect too much.

I was disappointed in the construction of this lamp. The description specifies that the lamp "features pieces of hand-cut stained glass wrapped in copper foil." While this is technically true, it's deceptive. All the detail around the perimeter of the shade is NOT individual pieces of glass. Rather each section is a single piece of glass with a metal grill over it to make it look like many pieces of glass. For purposes of comparison, this lamp's shade is made of 20 pieces of glass. A Quoizel lamp I own that didn't cost very much more has nearly 250 pieces of glass. Also, the packaging of this lamp it atrocious. It's packed in a type of styrofoam that shatters into thousands of grain-of-rice-sized pieces when you attempt to remove it from the box. They pick up static electricity, so when you try to pick them up they either stick to you or are repelled and shoot under the couch. I was picking up the little *** for literally weeks.

I bought two for our bedroom and they are a good size for the night tables next to the bed. Ample light with two bulbs and shade is glass. Beautiful and heavy.

I bought this lamp about 2-3 yo ago...it was around $$ then....its not worth $$

the quality was less that I had expected. Didn't meet my expectations.

I am disappointed with the quality of these lamps (I bought two.). A few years ago I bought two similar lamps and only paid $$ more per lamp and the quality is SO far above the quality of the ones that arrived today Not only is the finish rough, but the pull chains on one of the lamps are about 2 inches longer on one that the other. Luckily I'm just using them in one of my guest rooms and I can live with these imperfections...but I'm still not happy with the quality.

I am quite pleased with this lamp. I got it to replace another craftsman-style lamp, also relatively inexpensive, that was broken from being knocked over so many times. This has a good solid base and and provides very good light, which can be adjusted by pulling the cords. If you look closely, it's obvious it was factory-made. But this is in a spot where it isn't accessible for close inspection and the style, size, weight, and design are fine for the purpose.

When my lamps arrived I was thrilled beyond words! I had read most of the reviews and was mentally prepared for what to expect in the box: cheap boxing, exploding styrofoam, and oily shade. Easy to see it was 'Made In China'. What I found, in spite of the former, was a true Tiffany-style Mission-style lamp. The shade was authentic mica glass, the leading was a bit rough in spots, and the base was very heavy and sturdy. The pull chain gives authenticity to the Mission-style. Great touch! Assembly was quite easy. I had ordered 2 table lamps and found one of the shades had broken during delivery. I called the customer service and received excellent and prompt service. My replacement shade arrived intact in a short time. I do have a couple of concerns in that there is no notice as to what wattage is acceptable for the double receptacle lamps. After screwing in some bulbs, I found that it was a tight fit and that the bulb and glass came very close to touching. Hopefully it won't become an issue with overheating and the glass breaking. I also ordered the matching floor lamp and found that the base is totally different from the table lamps. Not sure why on that issue. My husband had no idea that I had ordered them and was thrilled with the look and feel of them. Huge hit in our house!

I'm looking at it right now. We put it on our desk next to the computer. I usually just turn on one of the two lights in it. It is heavy and overall appears to be a good quality lamp. Not flimsy or cheap at all.

I like the lamp, although I expected it to have a turn key switch, it actually has two chains to pull to turn it on - one for each light bulb. That is kind of handy but I would have liked the switch better for looks. All in all - fine. Easy to assemble.

Nice lamp - a little small - lamp shade is a good color whether the light is turned off or on - pad on the bottom of the lamp wasn't/didn't attach -work well in my family room.

Cheap plastic is what it is. For $**, I was expecting a lot better than this. The shade is made of some off white plastic, glued together with some unknown substance that looks like zinc, or some metal. The base and body is heavy but looks like plastic. The base is hollow, and it doesn't have any feet to prevent scratching the surface underneath it. It takes two bulbs. I tried to put in two 26 watt twist light bulbs in it and they were touching the shade. So I had to switch to two smaller light bulbs. The sockets are extremely flimsy: I was afraid one of them would fall out at any moment. After assemble, the shade didn't line up with the base. It tilted to one side. The shade is covered with some unknown oily substance. I have no clue what I should do: wipe it off or rinse it off, or whatever. If you look from 10 feet away, the lamp looks ok, but if you get closer, it looks much worse. I don't want to pay the shipping to send it back, so I am stuck with it for the time being. For everyone else, don't buy.

Nice illumination with two bulbs,but the shade was crooked and the metal between the glass on the shade was irregular with many sharp burrs. I was disappointed.

I bought this lamp for my parents. They couldn't be more pleased with it. It sits on a table in the front window and because of the lip on the lamp, looks great from the outside - you can't see the bulbs under the shade. The price was great, quality is high, style is transitional, puts out a lot of light and looks like the picture but much more stunning in person. The lamp has a good weight to it so it won't tip over like some other table lamps we have had in the past. The lamp has a nice transitional style. Their style is southwestern however, this would work well with mission, traditional, modern....almost any style. Because the shade is white and the lamp takes two bulbs, it really puts out a lot of light. The size of the lamp is perfect too - not too big and not too small. I am happy with the lamp and my parents are thrilled at how well the lamp functions and looks in the room. It is a very nice looking lamp that looks like a very high-end lamp. In fact, of all the table lamps they have ever had, this one is the nicest by far - and they have bought some pretty expensive lamps in the past. They have been looking for the perfect lamp for years. This one is it....... You can't go wrong with this one. Thanks Overstock.........you did it again!!!!!!!!
