Not as it appears.
When they say orange, they mean orange. Let's say I'm confident that if it were hunting season it would not get shot by hunters. That being said the color is authentic for the time period it is being reproduced from. My bad for not putting two and two together. Just expect the unusual color, you just might be able to get it to fit with your decor. I have only one complaint that doesn't deal with color preference. The color printing on the shade doesn't quite match up. Otherwise, it would be an excellent quality lamp.
