This is a very attractive and high-quality light fixture - I bought it for my kitchen, along with two of the matching 10" mini pendants. However, because of the rich purple, green, and gold shades of the glass, it doesn't let much light through, even with bright lightbulbs. This might be better as a hall light. If you're looking to really illuminate a space, I'd go with the pendants instead. Also, the light took a very long time to arrive (almost two weeks), unlike Overstock's usually fast shipping.
