I got this today and I couldn't be more delighted. What a bargain for such a beautiful lamp. Overstock has done it again. You have to see this in person to really appreciate!!!
The lamp shade is large and beautiful. The base is ok. I have many Tiffany style lamps but overstock was the best priced that I ever purchased. The base is light in weight and not as pretty as my others but alltogether a very attractive lamp
This lamp looks good at first glance. Beyond that, keep looking. The 'beaded' edge is sharp enough to shave with. It is just stamped metal. I have another Tiffany style lamp and it has a solid metal base, however, this lamp's base is not heavy at all. It is a miracle that the weight of the lamp shade doesn't cause the lamp to tip over.
Wow, was I surprised when my order came within 3 days, packaged well, easy to assemble, solid sturdy base, lamps are very good quality for the money. Wished the topper that screws on wasn't plastic, I might replace that at some time, but a good copy of a metal screw topper or finnial? Love the lamps, I bought 2, one for each end fo the couch, I can hardly wait for it to get a little dark outside so that I can turn them on. Very satisified!!! Good price, I shopped around and comparables were round $400.00 U.S. They are prettier in person. They have purple glass accents in them which was a pleasant surprise, as that color doesn't show up in the photo on line. You should love them too!
