This lamp is just beautiful! I purchased it for a little bit of light in a dark corner of my living room and it is exactly what I wanted. The workmanship is wonderful.....very heavy and sturdy. The colors are brilliant. Highly recommended!

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and loved it so much I bought another to match. The color is, for the most part, a beautiful cobalt blue. The accents are creamy-white flowers and amber "jewels". The lamp is tall enough to be a true floor lamp and not a reading lamp. I can't say enough good things, love the lamp...definitely buy it if you're looking for a cobalt blue accent in your room. Everybody who looks at it comments on how much they like it.

The description on this lamp states that the shade is made of "pieces of stained glass, each hand-cut and wrapped in fine copper foil." Phooey. The shade is in no way glass and there is no copper wire (fine or otherwise). Both the "glass" and the "copper wire" are nothing more than some sort of soft plastic and/or poly-resin type material, comments to the contrary notwithstanding.The lamp is very pretty, but it shouldn't be used for anything except ambience lighting (don't plan on using it to read). I will use the lamp, but feel somewhat cheated as the product was not as advertised (and the reason for only two stars). I was expecting better quality so I'm disappointed. Had it been the glass as advertised it would easily be 5 stars.

The Tiffany-style Blue Star Torchiere is a beautiful, sturdy lamp and was fairly easy to put together. However, it does not provide as much light as I was hoping for, but I would buy another one if I needed another lamp.

Love this lamp! We've had it for almost a year now, and I still love to look at it. It is not super bright, but is perfect for a nice glow in the living room after the rest of the house is asleep. Would not hesitate to order another if I needed it.

Gorgeous lamp at an incredible value. It's packed in a way that basically guarantees it to come unbroken, open it in the garage though, unless you want teensy tiny bits of styrofoam everywhere.

The colors are really nice when lit up (I purchased the blue). Very good quality, it is glass!

The primary colors are blue and yellow. For the price, the torchiere is a good buy. I purchased it because our university colors are blue and yellow. I have received several compliments on it.

This lamp is beautiful. And, contrary to some of the reviews I read, I found the glass to be quite authentic and not plastic-looking (it is indeed real glass, just covered in a protective coating). I've gotten TONS of compliments on it from guests. I like the red color this lamp can come in, too (we got that in the table lamp version), but in some ways I think this blue one is even nicer in that it remains about the same beautiful blue color whether the lamp is turned on or off (the glass looks a bit darker when off). The red one only looks red when it is turned on; when it's turned off, it's a pretty but very different purple-greenish iridescent-looking color. Actually the thing I liked least about this lamp was the base. It's not terrible-looking, but it doesn't look anything like authentic brass would, so it cheapens the look slightly. And LOVE the floor switch, though we have it situated in a great spot for that -- make sure you won't be placing the lamp in any hard to reach areas (like in a corner behind a couch or something).

I had bought the red ones like these a while ago, & I was so pleased with them that I jumped at the chance to buy 2 of these lamps in blue, when they became available! I bought them for my second bedroom, which we use as a study...& they are very beautiful. As others may have mentioned, the shade is made of cut/colored plastic, not glass...however, you can hardly tell, & they don't look cheap at all. Chances are, most people would never even notice that detail...they look beautiful, and they are heavy & gorgeous. Assembly was a breeze, as usual...typical for most floor lamps, I would say. They're pretty heavy though! I love the fact that they turn on via a button at the bottom, attached to the cord! It's so easy to just tap it on or off with your foot, when entering or exiting the room. :) I would highly recommend these lamps to anyone, because they are just so beautiful and unique.... However, I do have a few words of caution. The two lamps that I ordered are not the same size...one is visibly shorter than the other, although not by much. It wouldn't have been a big deal, if I'd ordered them for different rooms...but because I have both of them in the same room, it's noticeable. I tried to space them far enough apart where it won't be too obvious, and no one seems to have noticed...but it kind of bugs me. ;) Also, I wouldn't use these lamps as a primary source of light for any room. They are more like accent lighting. I have tried all different kinds of intensity of light bulbs with them, and they are always either way too dim, or way too bright. I think it's due to the color of the shade, and the fact that the light is meant to shine through... It wasn't as bad with the red ones that I bought, which I use as the primary source of light in my living room. But with these, for some reason, the light is different...& I would really only use them as accent lighting. Still a gorgeous lamp, & for the price, I would buy them again and again and again! No regrets here! :)

This lamp makes me feel good and smile every time I pass it. Golden sun-colored jewels shining in sparkling royal blue. It gives off plenty of light. Prior to purchase it looked as if the fixture might self-contain the light, but this is not the case. Style-wise my husband thought the pole could be thinner, but I like it just the way it is, so . . . a matter of taste. There is a foot pedal for on/off. Friends at my house have said the same--that this lamp is truly beautiful.
