My husband & I are stained glass artisans and assure you that this is quality art glass. The nay-sayers evidently do not realize that cabochons (this lamp boasts 81) are round glass gems and that plastics cannot be copper foiled and soldered. Buy with confidence because this lamp is lovely, especially in full sunlight. This is an outstanding deal, by anyone's standards. Tip: Unpack outside or in a garage....the packing is substantial but extremely crumbly and messy.

This lamp is gorgeous!
I assure you, this lamp IS REAL GLASS, and not some composite material as the other reviewer wrote. It is very heavy and came packed in thick styrofoam. The colors are just beautiful, whether the light is on or off. I love it!

Arielle Torchiere
I found this lamp to be a great value for the price paid. The appearance is very nice in a living room setting; a soft-white globe brings a softer light, whereas a clear bulb accents the cabochons, but glares from the top. Using a 100 watt clear bulb, and placing a sheer cover inside of the top of the shade gives an exquisite look without harsh glare. My only issue is that some of the copper work is a bit messy, and the glass needed cleaning/polishing inside and out. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. I ordered the other two Arielle-style table lamps as well !!

The picture does not do this justice, as it is absolutely gorgeous once assembled and lit. The base is very solid, and we are ordering one to match!!!

Very poor craftsmanship.
Very disappointed with the quality of this lamp. Have turned it in such a way as to hide the several flaws which guests and family members haven't noticed. Have ordered 2 other Tiffany-style lamps over the years which were perfection. Quite honestly, I should return it but didn't save the original box & trying to repack it would be too great a chore. I would never order another one!

This is bigger than I thought
I was surprised when I opened the box, the glass top is bigger than expected but it works! The switch is on the cord, a push button, which is kind of a pain for where I wanted to put it, but I figured it out. This is a very pretty lamp!

Exceeded out expectations
For the money you can't go wrong. It isn't as nice as the solid brass one that we have but then you can't expect that. It comes in several pieces that you easily screw together, the seams are obvious and the pattern on the pole doesn't align when tightened but your eyes go immediately to the shade on top so you don't recognize that. Personally I think the shade is worth what we paid for the whole light so I am delighted with the purchase.

Cheap
This was a very cheap product. It's plastic and it shows. The light does not show through the clear plastic looking dots except for two on the shade part. Not waht I was expecting. The light is dull looking. Save your money.

Like it a lot!
I'm not a stained glass expert, but some of the glass are protruding. We assumed it was because of the flat nature of the glass and the curved lamp shade. Overall, very satisfied with the torchiere. Really lights up the room and became the focal point. I'm debating purchasing the table lamps for my night stands too.
