  I just threw my glass top in the dumpster--2 things as I review the reviews- the oily substance was an issue for me as well---after a year, it begins to smell like urine, likely from the heat of the bulbs. As to the 'small dent' on the top metal (where you screw on the top piece)--that was the beginning of the end for my lamp.. It has always been a tad wobbly and again, I think due to the heat, it warped more and while gently dusting it, it literally fell off and shattered. Im keeping the base on hopes I can find another tiffanystyle shade, but today I had to buy a new floor lamp. I had it abt a year and a half. And yes, when you sit near the lamp, you can see the bulbs--

  The lamp did not come in the usual Overstock quick delivery time - then post office notified me that it broke during shipment; I was disappointed as I set up a reading area and was waiting on the light for it. Overstock immediately expedited the order and sent another right out. Great customer service. Anyway the lamp has great light for its size and is very pretty. Love it!

  I have been looking at many different Tiffany Style lamps. This Victorian style lamp is a true gem. The small blub in the base can serve as a nightlight. This lamp color (green, blue, red) works well in a earthtone home decor. It is an eye catching lamp of good quality.

  This lamp is just as great as the customer service of overstock. Originally I wanted to cancel the order cuz I had a different idea for living room decor, contacted the customer service, although the lamp was already on the way the second day after placing the order, they were nice and helpful. When it arrived, I decided to keep it! Beautiful shade, nice weighty base, well worth the price. I've shopped around for tiffany style lamps and compared price and performance, and this one definitely has the good value for money. Soldering inside the shield isn't perfect, but cannot complain and nobody would notice anyways. Thank you Overstock!
