The shelving where the cable box goes is much too small, but I didn't know this until after the stand was put together. The only measurments given before hand are for the height, width and depth of the overall piece, not the specific width of the shelving, therefore, your cable box must be less than 17 inches. The wood-like plastic edging around the curved top won't stay glued down, the end has lifted up. I now have a tv stand I can't use or return.
