As previous reviews, this is an excellent artwork and a great buy! At one point, I was debating on buying it because I had an eye for an antigue Tibetan trunk but I was on a budget but still want the quality artwork...well I did some research on similar items and decided this. I am very happy I did! Do not resist to purchase this fine trunk. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! Also, shipping was fast! Always happy with Overstock!!

I am on a tight budget and should not have purchased this truck, but I am glad I did, Love it!Came fully assembled.Good quality.I would not have bought this without the good reviews.To me ,not bright red,more muted..I am hooked now,would like more Tibetan furniture for my home.

I bought this on the strength of the previous reviews, and I just received it today. First, is was packed in four layers for protection--very impressive. When I finally got to the trunk, I was just delighted with the beautiful designs, solid construction, and perfect size for a coffee table!! I can't wait to get in in the living room......

This trunk is a lovely ART piece but not the most practical trunk or table. It reaks of varnish and you will need to line it well,so your contents do not reak as well. And possibly a piece of plexiglass on top to keep the paint from chipping. I have gotten cheaper trunks that were made alot better. But my initial attraction to it was the Tibetan art ,which I love. The red paint did not appear as bright as on the website. And I will probably go over the yellow with a brighter shade to make it POP a bit more. Some of the paint had already flaked off and several nails had fallen out upon recieving it. I had to hammer about 4 of the nails back in and will need to fill in the flaked off areas. Also the top of the trunk does not sit well when opening it. It just puts tension on the nails causing them to loosen again .So I will have to see if I can drill screws in instead, without ruining the paint. I wish I could give it a better review as I had high hopes for this trunk. It would be more of a hassle to send such a big piece back , so I've decided to just keep it and make the necessary repairs. It is at least, pleasing to the eye. I would only recommend it, if you are willing to put a lil elbow grease into maintainig its appearance.

The product arrived well wrapped and producted and looks beautiful in my home. One possible improvement is finishing the bottom of the piece so there are no shar edges since these can scratch wood flooring or catch on rugs. Otherwise Bravo!
