works really well!! We had another one that worked pretty well, but this one works much better and we can now use our basement - the other one didn't have the humidity index that this one does and that makes a HUGE difference in the quality of air.

I live on the Oregon coast, where it is humid year-round. Very humid. I bought this unit for my garage, so the stuff I store there [instead of the car] does not get totally moldy. The dehumidifier works very well in all temperatures. The mold-killing light helps keep the mold/mildew population under control. I am very glad I bought it. It also works very well in the house.

The product was deliver in a timely manner and the dehumidifier works great..The instructions that came with it were very easy to understand and I had no trouble setting it up.The only thing i did wrong was figure the square footage wrong but it still keeps the basement fairly dry and have no complaints. Also it is pretty quiet not like most dehumidifiers.

Works well, looks good but I have to run it at night because it drowns out the TV.

The unit arrived very quickly but unfortunatly I was not even able to power it on - it was broken. I attempted to get a replacement but none were available. What a disspaointment.

I am very pleased with this dehumidifier. It's large "full" indicator makes it easy to see when it needs emptying. It is quieter than some other dehumidifiers I've had but they all seem to be somewhat noisy. Mine is in my basement, which is not a living area, so it doesn't bother my family and me at all. The only thing I would change is the outlet for allowing continuous discharge of water. Other dehumidifiers take a standard garden hose connector, but this one does not. You would need to purchase special tubing, which I've not done, to take advantage of this feature. I feel the company should supply 3 feet of such tubing with the machine, but it doesn't.

I like the TiO2 dehumidifier. It does its job very well. I would recommend this product to others. However, there are some negatives. It does generate alot of heat in my basement where I am using it. The other negative is the "bucket" is small. It has to be dumped everyday . But overall, it does a very good job of keeping my basement dry.

unit is too small for anything large than a closet.

I ordered this product because I had practically given up on all the other brands. They normally last one to two years. Unfortunately, there are no longer any products strictly made in Germany or Japan or even the United States and as such you are left with China or Korea. This is a relatively small dehumidifier but it does an amazing job taking the humidity out of my basement. So far, so good. If you do not mind a small water container and the water is not easy to dispose of similar to the products I had before, you would probably love this compact, yet capable dehumidifier. Moreover, the price was very competitive.

This dehumidifier is by far one of the best purchases I've ever made. Works incredibly well, a bit loud sometimes, but tolerable and does what it says in the literature. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.

While I was apprehensive about getting one of the larger dehumidifiers, I figured I needed it for my basement - and I did. I have it running all the time (in fact I should probably get another one), and I'm very glad I didn't get a smaller one. I like the mold-killing features such as UV, etc.. and the cover on the removable water tank (no spills when you carry it to empty it!), the casters that make it a breeze to move, the temperature gauge and adjustable humidity settings - and the little faces it makes! No one mentioned them - but it makes a little frown face when it's very humid (when you first turn it on) and as the area gets dryer, the face gets happier... and so does the homeowner.Great purchase, price shipping and took seconds to set up (plug it in).

At first i was leary about getting this product. I am glad i did. It has been on the go since.My basement it water free and feels nice and dry. This product is well worth the price.

Product does what it is supposed to do and looks fine. A little more than background noise, but acceptable.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS FROM SUNPENTOWN. A birthday gift from my father, this Sunpentown dehumidifier, arrived at my office in New York City. Being a petite women with a heavy object, I took a $25 cab ride home only to find out the product was defective. I called the company and ask for a replacement and explained the cab situation, and asked to be reimbursed for the costs since this is a birthday gift and it seemed unfair that I be forced to pay an additional $50 to get the defective product back to my office, and a (hopefully non-defective) one home. The customer service representatives refused with comments like my father and I could "cry and scream all we wanted" and "that it?s just not worth it to send a new one." Even when I offered to drop the cab fare, they said it didn't matter, and refused to replace their broken product. They told me to trash it (which I'm sure is against EPA rules, especially since this dehumidifier has a coolant leak). Lesson learned: Maybe your Sunpentown product will work, but if not...don't be surprised if the customer service ruins your birthday.
