To select the correct generator model for your application, first determine the cubic feet of the room the generator will be producing steam for, and then select the corresponding unit below
Length of room x width of room x height of room = cubic feet
For every foot of ceiling height over 8 feet use the next larger steam generator
For example if you have a 250 cubic feet room with a 10 foot ceiling height you would need a PRO-650 generator

All steam generators require the use of a Signature Series Control kit or a Temp-Touch Plus Control kit

Excellent!

This is a superb price for a true top-of-the-line steam generator. It is relatively 'easy' to install. but I don't want to mislead: converting or building a steam shower is not a simple, weekend project. Unless you are a serious DIYer, you'll need several trades and you should figure this all in at the front of your project. In my case, I threw out a hopeless, prefab Chinese-made steamshower unit from our guest bath (obtained from a local supply house.) This generator went as a retrofit into our master bath shower to turn it into a true steam shower. And it's awesome. You'll need a 40A 208V GFI circuit, you have to run a steam line and 1/2" pan drain, mount the unit, core holes for the controller and steam head, slope the ceiling (to avoid drips) and glass-in or seal the entire shower. So you may need an electrician, plumber, carpenter, tiler, glazer etc. Get a general with experience doing bathrooms. Be cautious when comparing this to generic-label steam generators - the price may be appealing but these are usually unserviceable, typically don't have stainless tanks like the Thermasol so they rot and leak after a few years, fittings may not be US standard making installation difficult. If you can't find a UL rating or manufuacturer to support it my advice is to pass. You really can't beat the value on this unit. Don't forget to order a control unit which doesn't come with the generator.

quality plus

The first one we received didn't work correctly. Two weeks later we had a new one on our front door shipped from California. This came with a shipping label and instructions to ship the defective unit back at Thermasol's cost. The new unit worked perfectly. As an engineer what impressed me was the corrosion resistant hastelloy heating elements and the lifetime warranty. Also the manufacturing quality of the system was obvious. We haven't used it much as yet as we are still remodeling the enclosure. But our test runs have me anticipating much future refreshing steam room relaxation.
